    But I look for an a restaurant is consistency and this is consistently excellent don’t try and do too much but what they do is better than anything around

    The Grand Tavern has consistently served the best food I have been able to find down the shore. The menu is well focused but with great options for all diners. The main space looks great but can get very energetic so for quieter dining you may want to be outside. The staff is attentive and friendly and service is brisk but not rushed. Starters were excellent and can recommend the whipped goat cheese salad and the roasted oysters (wow on these - better like garlic). Highly recommend the main of scallops that I couldn’t get enough of (perfectly seared huge scallops, better than lobster, creamy corn with smokey bacon - killer). Also great were the red snapper and pork chop. Cocktails were creative and great tasting as well. Been going for years and have never had a bad meal. Prices are commensurate with quality but not for the faint of heart as the shore goes. Think NYC.

    Always a great meal here. Never disappoints. Clever cocktails and great dessert too.

    The food is really top notch. Our service wasn’t good which was too bad cause their drinks and food are so top notch.

    Thank you Grand Tavern for a fantastic birthday dinner! Heard many great things, was not disappointed. My boyfriend did have some dietary restrictions that they were able to accommodate- I did not expect them to; however they went above and beyond. Our server was lovely- I was never waiting on a drink, water, or anything at all. Clearing/resetting/arrival of dishes was all on point. And of course... Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. But we knew that would happen. Thank you again !
