Granary Square Brasserie, a new restaurant brand from the team behind the Ivy Collection.

The brasserie buzz through breakfast, morning coffee, lunch and cream teas in the afternoon. Throughout the day the lounge area will be perfect to relax with a drink or for informal meetings with luxurious vintage leather chairs and low brass tables. As the sun sets and we get ready for dinner, the DJ set will begin, and cocktails will flow.

The restaurant is beautiful with cut glass pendant lights, banquettes upholstered in silk and velvet and exotic kilim rugs. The striking central bar, located in the heart of the room, is perfect to survey the scene and enjoy an aperitif cocktail.

Really tasty food served promptly with attentive-but not intrusive- friendly service. The place was full of happy diners because the kitchen and service team run like a Swiss watch. Impressive - and fun!

Usual very high standard of service and food. Set menu extremely good value. Would appreciate availability of carafe of wine in addition to glass or bottle.

A thoroughly lovely meal. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. The service was outstanding. We enjoyed it immensely

I eat here every month or so when I come to London to meet people. As the weather was bad yesterday we had to eat inside. The noise level was terrible with a SJ inside playing indecipherable beat music, meaning diners had to shout to speak to each other. I ended up with a headache. The food was the usual good standard, but I will look elsewhere in future.

An additional guest joined us and we had the pleasure of being berated by the front of house who boldly told us that we should have called ahead. It was explained that we had tried 3 times and she waved us away - how rude given he was easily accommodated and they gladly took the extra income. Everyone else was lovely

This was a return trip to the Granary Brasserie and, as part of the Ivy group, I always enjoy my visits to their restaurants. However, on this occasion it was not up to the normal high standard. Lovely ambience apart from the air-conditioning system making it a little too cool for such a cold summer's day. All 3 of us had the classic shepherd's pie, which was delicious, but risked getting cold as we had to chase and wait for the accompanying vegetables, which weren't up to standard, for which we were compensated. But we finished off enjoying our dessert and teas and coffees before departing.

No issue with food or venue. But disappointed that when asked if I’d like water the waiter already had a bottle in his hand which he cracked open & I was too embarrassed to say I only wanted tap water…. Very cheeky to automatically add 13.5% on top as a tip. I have no issue leaving a tip I think 10% is more than enough & I feel cheated that they made the choice for me.

Mixed feelings on our experience. The ivy is synonymous with high quality but I was shocked by the fall in food quality. One side of my fish cake was too crisp, the other completely soggy meaning the pea purée had sunk in. Not pleasant. Truffle & Parmesan fries were hard, dry & tasteless. After frequenting The Ivy for many years and regarding its commercial expansion as a very sad mistake, this food was no better than any bland chain restaurant.
