The Restaurant is open every Friday and Saturday evening for à la carte dining. The chefs have curated a delicious seasonal menu showcasing their own pasture-fed Lincoln Red beef, game and Kitchen Garden produce from the Doddington Estate along with the finest locally sourced and British ingredients.

Enjoy their selection of teas and coffee, expertly prepared by their Stokes trained baristas and treat yourself to delicious homemade cake.

At the bar, you’ll find an alluring range of cocktails and mocktails.

We had to wait for nearly an hour for our food to be served, with no explanation of the delay until I had asked a waitress twice , then to manager came and said that there were delays in the kitchen.

Food and environment great as always. Maitre’d very engaging. Service a little slow and waitress complaining about her job a bit tedious!

Group of 8 people. Drinks on balcony before meal. Beautiful views, friendly staff and amazing food. Everyone was blown away with the restaurant, service, and quality of food. Decent portions. Reasonable prices. Will definitely be back.

Came here for a birthday meal My husband ordered steak at £36 asked for it medium rare, very disappointed as it was very pale and chewy. Expecting a fillet he was expecting a bloody steak that melted in his mouth. On booking it was also asked if it was a special occasion advised birthday, but nothing special was offered so unsure why this question was asked? The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely and the staff were very friendly too. I would return, but would be more cautious of what I order.

Thoroughly recommend a visit to the Grain Store. Food was excellent and service was very attentive without being overbearing. A beautiful restaurant, in a beautiful setting.

The Sunday lunch is outstanding, cooked to perfection. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the location is stunning.

Lunch at The Grain Store was very pleasant; all round the setting, menu and service was excellent. We sat upstairs, where we enjoyed the far reaching views across the local countryside as we ate, but it was quieter than downstairs, which we preferred.

We had Sunday lunch at the grain store and it was fabulous. Really nice food and wine selection. The atmosphere is really lovely and a very nice space with attentive staff. We will be coming back to try their dinner menu.

We arrived on time at 7-30pm. Very impressive restaurant building. No one to greet us on arrival downstairs but having been shown to the upstairs by a member of staff we were then greeted. NIce table wonderful views but in full sun and no blinds. Ordered via the hi -tech pad used by the server. Long delay before the starters arrived . Delay acknowledged by provision of bread and oil/balsamic vinegar, free of charge. Still a long wait for starters. Explanation offered by the server was that the order pad had malfunctioned and the order had not gone through to the kitchen. Starters eventually served after 45 minute wait and were enjoyable, nicely presented and of good quality. There then followed a further wait of about 1 hour before the main courses were served. No explanation was offered and the server came several times with further profuse apologies. So it was 9.15pm by the time our main course arrived. The lamb was fine and tasty. Despite the fact that it had some mint sauce dressing my request for more mint sauce was met with a response that no mint sauce was available. The beef was dry in texture and relatively tasteless but a request for horseradish sauce was fulfilled. A request for more gravy/jus was met by the first visit of the evening by the maitre d who seemed blissfully unaware of our experience. By this time we were past being interested in further food so when the maitre d arrived bearing the dessert menu we all politely declined and explained why. He offered a free glass of wine or other drink and asked us not to judge the restaurant by this (our first) visit and to return again when we would be suitably looked after. A woman later appeared with the bill and explained that because of the concern expressed about the beef, the price of one portion would be deleted from the bill. We duly paid the bill and departed from what overall was a rather poor experience. The restaurant was moderately busy throughout the evening and by no means full.
