Perfect for walkers, cyclists and families, the Grain Store is the ideal location to relax and refuel. Open daily with a delicious breakfast, lunch and cake menu to suit all appetites.

The Restaurant is open every Friday and Saturday evening for à la carte dining. The chefs have curated a delicious seasonal menu showcasing their own pasture-fed Lincoln Red beef, game and Kitchen Garden produce from the Doddington Estate along with the finest locally sourced and British ingredients.

Enjoy their selection of teas and coffee, expertly prepared by their Stokes trained baristas and treat yourself to delicious homemade cake.

At the bar, you’ll find an alluring range of cocktails and mocktails.

A beautiful setting with lovely helpful staff, food exceptional , can’t wait to return! The buildings is new but well thought out with subtle lighting and food choices locally sourced is a bonus! This visit wasn’t a special occasion but Dodding hall Grainstore made it one xxxx

Staff pleasant , ambiance great , better value elsewhere. Steak was very bloody for “ medium” , lamb dish so small ordered extra chips . Then ok . Very little veg . Loved the view . Will be back for coffee and snack downstairs . Liked the wine pairing and feverfew tonic . Tia Maria coffees and my starter were excellent .

Fantastic breakfast as always we much prefer sitting upstairs as too many sweaty people in Lycra downstairs 😂

First time visiting the Grain Store and was hoping it was as good as the tasting menu event we attended just before the Grain Store opened. For such a large and pleasant venue it wasn’t a refined menu, and is definitely aimed at the diner who equates the size of the dish as good value. Both the cured salmon and the mussels starters were enough for us as a main course so it dampened the enthusiasm for the main. Having ordered the beef fillet steak dish not to be asked how I liked it served and for the cooked fish dish to have been overcooked (we reported that, but not that we had any adjustment to the bill or an apology from service) and a few of the tortellini was hard in places. Not a great main course for either of us. Interesting to note that whilst booking the meal it asked was the booking for a special occasion and I noted it was my birthday. Not that the restaurant seemed to be aware of this or it making a different to service. Suggests there is no point in asking the question…? With Doddington Hall Lincoln Red beef being raised on site to regenerative farming standards there’s great potential for this restaurant to excel so I do hope they improve on this experience.

I recently enjoyed a Sunday roast at the Grain Store at Doddington Hall, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The ambiance of the place is charming, with rustic decor and a welcoming atmosphere that suits the traditional feel of a Sunday roast. The room was a bit too warm but otherwise love the setting here. As for the food, the roast was well-prepared, with a good selection of vegetables and delicious Yorkshire puddings. The flavors were spot on, particularly the gravy, which tied everything together nicely. However, the beef was a bit on the chewy side, which was a slight letdown in an otherwise satisfying meal. Despite these minor issues, I would still recommend the Grain Store for a Sunday roast, especially if you're looking for a cozy and traditional setting.

The Grain Store upstairs offers a limited menu for Sunday lunch but everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The children's smaller roast beef meal (with all the shared vegetables) is more than adequate for anyone with a smaller appetite. It's worth saving room for desserts. Service was friendly and efficient. There's a bit of noise from the downstairs busier eating area, but more a gentle hum than disturbing.
