The Good Son is a neighbourhood restaurant and bar embracing the local Queen Street culture. Stop by for a quick drink or a quick bite, or to stay the entire night and eat and drink whatever and wherever you like. The menu is a reflection of the melting pot of cultures that has gentrified Queen Street West, with a focus on local and seasonal organic produce, hormone free and free range proteins, and most importantly, shared food. The menu will is designed so that guests are encouraged to share plates, to create the ultimate social dining experience. The heart of the kitchen is the wood-fired oven - not only used for traditionally made pizza, but we also feature diverse items being roasted in the wood oven.

The food was good enough but service on this particular Saturday evening was pretty bad. Didn’t get service for the first 20 minutes until we waved someone down, and then didn’t get drinks for at least another 20 until we asked about them. Still not sure who our server was supposed to be because nobody seemed to want to help us even though there seemed to be a ton of staff.

This is probably my 3rd or 4th time dining here. The food, as usual, was great! We ordered wine, the spicy brussel sprouts, sourdough bread, margarita pizza, and the burger. All very good! The ambience was great! Our server was just ok. It took a good 20 minutes before she asked us for our order. And she wasn't very friendly when we asked a question about a dish or when we paid our bill.

The food was phenomenal. We had the Bulgogi short ribs and the Natalina pizza. The ambiance was cool and it had great music. Overall a great experience for our date night.

Great experience for an after-work dinner with my coworker at Good Son! Happened to be there for a $29 steak frites special they had and it was delicious (including the shoestring fries). I’m not even fully sure why they did, but they comp’ed one round of drinks—probably because they initially brought us a wrong one at first, but it was great customer service. I’ll be back!

The service was great. Our waitress was nice and kind. She was attentive. The drinks we got were also okay. The place is a bit too loud to hear each other on 2 seatings tables and the chairs are too low for that table. But these aren’t the problem. You expect a good Italian pasta from an Italian restaurant. I got mushroom tagliatelle and it wasn’t cooked and it was sticking to each other. I should have been al dente but the pasta tasted like from a store bought. I could do that this way better at home and the price is $28 for this was definitely not worth it! I wish this cute little Italian restaurant would do better in the neighborhood
