   It was a very busy night and they were quite understaffed. Our big dinning room had a nice young girl and she was overwhelmed. Our food was ok but obviously been sat around for a while so a bit in the cool side and lost their appeal somewhat. I bought our drink at the bar to speed things up. I paid £60 for a bottle of not very cold Chablis and the barman gave me two warm wine glasses. I found that very annoying but didn’t say anything. The bar staff were all very busy.

   Everything you could want in a top notch roast dinner. Vegan option pronounced good too

   This was my first time here with my family . Service was great , food 10/10 and would definitely go back . Only negative I have is that they do not take cash . They should either put the info on their website or put a notice up in the pub so people don’t get caught out . I always prefer to use cash whenever I go

   Lovely atmosphere. Not sure about the decor of the dining room, prefer the bar. Food had some odd choices but what we ordered was delicious. Wine list poor. Wine by the glass awful and the bottle list was average. Still recommended for a night out locally.

   Extremely tasty and generous portion Sunday Chicken Roast! Will definitely visit again!

   Such a good experience at The Good Reader for Sunday lunch for my partners birthday. We came with an extra person and they were so good about accommodating us. The lady in charge of seating and welcoming guests was fantastic as was the lady who served us. Really good food, great atmosphere and I could even take my dog! Thank you to the team ❤️

   Easily the Best Sunday in Crouch End. Good portion size, really good food and good (table) service. Would recommend.

    Burgers were good. Staff were friendly Probably the worst fish I have ever eaten and the beetroot risotto was absolutely swimming in olive oil. The chef is in well over his head. Plus 2 adults 4 kids over 300 quid Defo won’t be back there so many better places local to here
