The Golden Swan is a neighborhood French tavern that occupies a historic West Village townhouse. The concept was inspired by an iconic New York restaurant of the same name that served as a den for artists and thieves in the 1900s. Chef Brixton's menu is rooted in sourcing, ensuring that every single ingredient that is served comes from the best possible place and is of the highest quality. Guests can casually walk into the first floor bar room, known as The Wallace Room, for the acclaimed Brixton Burger or find their way upstairs to The Dining Room for a more elevated experience with dishes served tableside like Dover Sole with Sauce Meuniere and Côte de Boeuf with bordelaise jus as well as signature dishes like Branzino en Papillote and Crescent Duck. I had dinner with a friend in the downstairs bar area, which is my favorite as it’s packed with character, charm and class. The food was amazing. I had the burger, which I highly recommend. The whole dish is just so well composed, not oversized, incredible flavor and stunning fries. Super classy act. Service is as always exceptional with very knowledgeable waitstaff. I love that they know every drink and dish on the menu and have tried everything themselves. I love this restaurant and it will charm any guest. Great for a romantic dinner upstairs or a friends get together downstairs. The location and neighborhood is the best the West Village has to offer.

The Golden Swan is a class act. I had brunch there with two best friends. We arrived in the peak of brunch hour and I had accidentally booked seats at the bar, we asked to be moved to a table and they were completely full. 10 minutes later they had made a plan and seated us at a stunning table! You can’t possibly ask for better service. The staff are really friendly and sincere, a true rarity nowadays. The food is nothing short of sublime. Every dish is well thought through and beautifully composed. I had the duck hash - excellent dish but a tiny bit salty. Pancakes were divine, not to be missed. Cocktail were spectacular. Loved the brunch vibe!

Wonderful food and service, charming setting that felt cozy. The dover sole filleted at the table was a real treat.

Amazing brunch!! The food is absolutely fantastic and the cocktails were also delicious! Overall fantastic meal! Definitely want to return for dinner! Highly recommend!!

Christina the manager was great in helping adjust our reservation, and made sure we had a great seats so we could sit adjacent to each other, clarified the different dining rooms. Then we came, and had a great meal, with great service. The music, too, was great - it was relaxing, not trying to create a loud party where there wasn't one, and you could still talk and hear each other.
