Situated in the heart of Hawarden village, The Glynne Arms is a 200 year old traditional coaching inn which has recently undergone a complete restoration inside and out, bringing it back to life.

Its philosophy is simple; to provide a warm, relaxed pub environment and excellent food in the restaurant. Visitors receive a warm welcome at all times, whether for a quick drink, a morning coffee or a meal… and dogs are positively encouraged.

Our private room upstairs is the perfect venue for your event be it a wedding, party, funeral wake, meeting, or conference. We have several private rooms and areas in the pub for you to choose from.Our main Gladstone Room is a large, beautifully light, and airy room with views overlooking the castle gates at the center of Hawarden.

Nice dining area at the rear of the building but away from the hustle and bustle of the bar - I believe this created a better atmosphere. Food was superb; hot and very tasty. The Cask Ales were on form - great flavour and temperature. Love the service - very personable.

No full menu available and not pre warned. Fryer on the night was not working so long delay for chips from the sandwich menu. Had a drink and then went elsewhere for food

Excellent food, small menu but with with dishes that you won't see any were else. Staff are very attentive. Very unique pub that I would recommend to anyone

Four of us (2 couples) enjoyed our evening at this pub. They have a nice bar area as well as multiple dining rooms and an outdoor patio area. We asked to be seated in the bar area and were promptly served. We had fish and chips, hamburger, chicken burger and rump roast. We started with the bao buns and especially enjoyed the veggie option. Overall, we had a nice experience and would recommend this pub.

Fabulous food but the server kept forgetting us. We'd ask for drinks and then had to ask again same for ordering food. But second server was good. Can't fault the delicious and well presented food.

Due to renovation make over it was slightly noisy I.e. lots of painter & decorators milling about. However, when the make over is finished will definitely book again when I am in the area. Food was really good .. loved the chips

Superb Sunday Lunch yet again at the Glynne. Nothing was too much trouble. Service was attentive but not overly so. Food was perfect and we were sat in the area behind the bar which is cosy and informal. A great end to a brilliant weekend. Highly recommend to any who is yet to try this place out. You won't be sorry.

Lovely venue, great food and polite serving staff. Whats missing here is the leadership / management. We have been into The Glynne Arms regularly over the last four years but yet The Manager still greets us like strangers. The lack of leadership / friendly & welcoming atmosphere lets The Glynne down. Some customer service training for the landlord would go a long a way.
