The George is Providence's newest piano bar and upscale casual dining restaurant featuring American fare, elevated comfort food, delightfully crafted cocktails, and live piano every Tuesday - Sunday.

Enjoy Brunch with Live Piano every Sunday from 10am to 1:30pm and dinner from 2pm to 5pm.

Our Speakeasy Lounge opens every Friday and Saturday evening at 7pm. Seating is available on a first come, first seated basis. Live music starts at 9:30pm.

The food, service and ambience are wonderful. We always book our tickets to the Sunday matinee at Trinity Rep rather than any other performance, just so we can take part in brunch at George.

Fantastic experience at The George! Our server Eddie was a delight, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was AMAZING! My husband had the butterflied veal, I had the ribeye with lobster risotto- large chunks of lobster in the risotto! Small intimate dining room. There were two large groups who were seated halfway through our meal. They were pretty loud and raucous which changed the experience, but not the fault of the restaurant. We had reservations for their downstairs "speakeasy" comedy show and so not to be late, Eddie, our server, suggested we have dessert and after dinner drinks down there. PERFECT evening! We'll be back!

Our waiter was great but he had too many tables so our service was fair at best. There's no music playing in the main dining room so the ambience is other people's conversations . Will probably not return

Great service and great specials - thought food was just okay. My husband did have a great surf and turf special. Has a great Monday night dinner for two special.

Loved the historical vibe walking in…but the service set the bar high right out the gate. Very personable, outgoing, wanting to make it a great first time visit. Maddie (our server) was so attentive and the specials sounded amazing so we ordered them all. Food was spectacular, continued great service and then followed by a history of the speak easy. Highly recommend and will be back!

Great staff and the owner came up to ask how everything was. The home fries were not fresh, but my eggs were cooked perfectly. This restaurant is a great place for a cocktail.

Myself and a group of 7 friends decided to dine at The George before a show at PPAC. The location was perfect it was a very quick walk over to the venue. We had reservations and were sat as soon as we arrived. Eddy was our server and he absolutely made our night, he was knowledgeable, friendly and kept us laughing. The food and drinks were delicious. The portions were huge. The dining room was loud enough that several in my group mentioned it, however we all enjoyed ourselves regardless. Eddy mentioned that sometimes on show nights that does happen. He also let us know that The George has brunch on Sundays and live music Thurs - Sat (I think those were the live music nights). We will definitely be back - I’m looking forward to try many more of their amazing menu offerings!
