The George is Providence's newest piano bar and upscale casual dining restaurant featuring American fare, elevated comfort food, delightfully crafted cocktails, and live piano every Tuesday - Sunday.

Enjoy Brunch with Live Piano every Sunday from 10am to 1:30pm and dinner from 2pm to 5pm.

Our Speakeasy Lounge opens every Friday and Saturday evening at 7pm. Seating is available on a first come, first seated basis. Live music starts at 9:30pm.

Food and service was excellent. Prices are fair. Want a big fan of the drink menu. I ordered a different drink that I asked them to make and they did. It was really good. I'll definitely be back. The only problem I had was that they had a duet there providing some music entertainment and the music was so loud me and my girlfriend couldn't even talk to each other without screaming over dinner. The waiter even had to scream when talking to us. So the only thing I wish was better is that they would have the entertainment at a level that those out on a date could still talk and the waiter didn't have to yell just to take your order. Other than that I'll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful dinner at the George. Everything was delicious. Our server was attentive and professional. Would recommend.

Took way too long to get my plate of tired and boring food. Not many people here so what’s going on in the kitchen? Who wants a huge pile of zucchini as a side vegetable? Veal Marsala was poorly executed and barely appetizing. I think it sat under a heat lamp too long. Mussels tasted fishy. My glass of wine was old and did not finish. I should have sent it back. The pasta fagioli was good and the waiter was enthusiastic but overall we are disappointed.

When we meet our friends in Providence annually we love to come to the George for their delicious Sunday Brunch, we visit from Brooklyn and Boston. The menu is Brilliant and Sunday was no exception , Thanks for a great Brunch, Great service by Maddison who was such a charm , and a very Cool ambiance . They know what they're doing here whether it be Breakfast lunch or dinner . Thanks Chaps see you next November ... Cheers Steve.

Everything was incredible, the service, the food was delicious, the ambiance, the entertainment was great but just a little loud. One of my top places.

First timer and it was amazing. The food and atmosphere was amazing! Best crab cakes I had. Would go back just for those! Service was a little slow to my liking. But the food and atmosphere out weighed that. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back

We had a lovely birthday dinner for my husband Saturday night. We sat in the lounge which is a great atmosphere with dark wood, stained glass and mood lighting. The chairs are over the top comfortable. The food was amazing. My only constructive criticism is that the burrata appetizer was dry. A nice drizzle of olive oil over the top would have been a game changer. My husband had the calamari which was amazing. We both had pasta dishes. Short Rib Mac and Cheese and the Tortellini. Excellent job. Thank you for a great night!

Absolutely fantastic service, the prices are very reasonable, extremely diverse menu there is something for everyone, portions were excellent and food was absolutely delicious. It has been a long time since I’ve had such an all around excellent dining experience. Kudos to the manager! 5 stars all the way!

It started with the valet. My husband stayed with the for a good 5 minutes waiting for the valet. Turns out he was the man standing in front of the restaurant and our car. Didn’t acknowledge our car until he finished his conversation. In no hurry at all. We were seated in the lounge. It was very loud making it difficult to talk over dinner. Our server was ok. The food runner quickly walked to the and plunked our plates down. We had dirty bread dishes taking up space on our small table that nobody bothered to clear. There were a couple of annoying fruit flies. The food was average at best. It actually felt like no one cared if we were there or not. Wouldn’t go back.
