The George on the Riverwalk is in the downtown area of Wilmington, North Carolina. A great location, along with the great food, have helped to make this a very popular eatery. You can find inside or outside seating right on the river. As one of the only dog friendly restaurants in the area, we welcome your furry friends! We provide heated decks in the winter as well as amazing views of the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, the USS North Carolina Battleship and amazing sunset views year around! Whether you choose to visit us by car or boat, we provide 3 hour parking vouchers for the lot across the street and have a 90ft floating dock located directly on the Cape Fear River!!

                                      Our 4th day in Wilmington and finally found the place to dine! The Blackened Catfish or the Black Bass is absolutely worth it! My husband even said we’ll drive back down here for the weekend just to get this again. Server Gabrielle S was great and very sweet! Beautiful setting for dinner make sure u sit outside for the sunsets.

                                      Sunday Brunch was very nice. We sat outside despite the heat, but there was a breeze. We arrived at 1:45 pm and just beat the rush. Service by Jackson was very good. I was confused, however, because I ordered a Bloody Mary and there was a $2.00 additional charge for the vodka (Stoli). I'd never seen that before so I don't know if it is normal or not.

                                      Great outdoor covered patio tables overlooking the Cape Fear River. Good choices of food at reasonable prices. Service was good, attentive, and gracious. They provided plenty of soft drink and iced tea refills at no extra charge.

                                      The food is fantastic but the only issue I found was they made us sit out in the sun because we brought our dog, even though there were shaded outside open tables with fans, just beware if you bring your furry friend you will have to bake while you eat unless you book a late reservation.

                                      We ate inside and it was quite warm, temperature wise. There seemed to be a shortage of plates and glasses. Some of our entrees were placed on small plates and bowls instead of on regular dinner plates. So, we really aren’t sure if we received the correct portions. At some point when we were receiving refills, a pitcher was mixed with tea and coke. Then, it took awhile to get our drinks fixed.

                                      Terrible service. It was Father's Day so we expected that service would be strained. However there weren't that many customers. Our waitress just wasn't very good.

                                      Came here for Fathers Day brunch w my husband and toddler. Ordered the Brie appetizer and since I’m gluten free, ordered some vegetable to dip. Waited for what seemed like forever when our server came and told us our Brie was delivered to another table. When we finally got ours, it was missing the GF dippers. Had to re-order them. I waited ten+ minutes with an empty glass, another ten minutes for a mimosa, ten minutes for the server to take my card. Brunch for two people was $85. Service should have been much better. Very disappointing.
