The George on the Riverwalk is in the downtown area of Wilmington, North Carolina. A great location, along with the great food, have helped to make this a very popular eatery. You can find inside or outside seating right on the river. As one of the only dog friendly restaurants in the area, we welcome your furry friends! We provide heated decks in the winter as well as amazing views of the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, the USS North Carolina Battleship and amazing sunset views year around! Whether you choose to visit us by car or boat, we provide 3 hour parking vouchers for the lot across the street and have a 90ft floating dock located directly on the Cape Fear River!!

The food and the service was great. With an even better view of the water. We were able to sit outside on the patio and it was a perfect night. We got the She Crab Soup and the soup of the day, which were both good. The lobster mac and cheese was a perfect shareable to start with and then I had the haddock catch of the day-so good. The shrimp and grits were okay. Overall was a great restaurant and we’d go again!

Great dinner along the cape fear river ❤️ I thought this might be another on the water place with meh food… I was wrong. Dinner was cooked perfectly, inventively seasoned, and beautifully plated! We had the scallops and the black bass. Both were exceptional. House made chocolate mousse finished the night. Our waiter (Kase) was attentive and helpful. All-in-all a great dinner out!! Thanks George! We will def be back!!

We recently had a delightful brunch at The George in Wilmington, NC. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, allowing you to choose the atmosphere that best suits your preference. I ordered "The George," a classic dish with scrambled eggs and bacon. The meal was delicious and perfectly cooked. While the interior of The George has a more formal dining feel, there's no strict dress code, so you can dress comfortably. The food was excellent, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and portion size. We would definitely recommend The George to anyone looking for a delicious brunch spot in Wilmington.

The food was excellent. We had a friendly waitress who never rushed us. It was a lovely place to celebrate our grandmother’s 90th birthday.

Celebrated a birthday lunch here. Food was delicious and service fantastic. Sat at outdoor table which was lovely! And they take reservations!!!!! Love that!

We loved eating outside under the awning and "people watch" as folks strolled by on the River Walk. Our food came very quickly and was delicious.

They changed the shrimp and grits since the last time I was there. Please bring back the old recipe. I didn't care for it this time. Everyone else enjoyed their meal.
