Me and my wife came for a meal here as we have been times before. Felt I was let down my chicken burger was over cooked and dry. I had requested chunky chips which I had to ask for as wrong ones were brought to the table. Part of the restaurant was being used for a wake with many of the people upset with what they had just gone through. With recently going through this ourselves we felt that we should have been made aware.

Had lunch here and the food was nicely presented and tasty. Service could be better, only seven diners so they weren’t busy and it took 45 mins to get main meal. No good if you’re in your lunch hour! Quickest service we had was the bill!

We had an early lunch here so the place was quite empty. It's nicely decorated and clean. There is a large car park and beer garden with archery and a giant Connect 4. The pub also hosts events. We ordered the club sandwich, the chicken fillet burger and the cheese and tomato pannini. The pannini could have done with a bit more cheese in it but it was nice. The seasoned fries with the dishes were very tasty and moreish. The wine and drinks were good and the staff friendly and efficient. It was only after we paid and left that we realised they gave us the chicken fillet wrap instead of the brioche burger which should have had onion rings with it too. However they still charged us for the burger which was a more expensive dish than those on the wrap and pannini menu. We would return though.

We ordered 2 sharing roast dinners ,the lamb and gravy had run out so try to go earlier than 5 pm on a sunday as its obviously very popular, they added extra meat to replace the missing lamb and it was enjoyable but we could have done with an extra gravy .

My partner and I had D&V the same night. My two guests were unaffected but they had different meals to us. The only common factor for the two of us was a shared green side salad. I am posting this for information by the kitchen in case any other guest(s) have reported anything

First time visiting this pub, think we might have to make this our new local. Stunning pub, have previously tried to visit but I think it was closed for a period of time. Will definitely be back, lovely food and staff. The pub has a real holiday feel about it!
