It’s a lovely pub and always a lovely welcome. The roast was good (beef a little over cooked but good quality) but more a very small ladies portion which left my husband was on the hungry side. There was only a small taster of veg on the plate. Defiantly not even one of your five a day. You can order extra sides but was told by waitress that portions were large so hadn’t. Husband was made up with a lovely dessert but still left a bit on the hungry side.

We had friends visiting & wanted to take them somewhere lovely for lunch. I have always visited here in the week & enjoyed but never at a weekend, so made a nice change. Booked a table online for 12pm. We were seated by Catherine, really friendly and extremely helpful. Once we had ordered, Catherine came back to say the triple cooked chips were unavailable but could offer an alternative, which was fine. We had ordered 2 x Roast Lamb, 1 x Roast Beef, 1 x Catch of the day and 1 x Kids meal. All dishes were extremely tasty, full of flavour and great presentation, however, in all honesty, for us, the meat was too cooked, we would have preferred the meat to be more on the pink side. No ones fault, we just assumed it would be like the pictures on their facebook page. Desserts, the blow torch was playing up - I had ordered the Creme Brulee, so I opted for the Biscoff cheesecake instead, didn't disappoint, nor did the Brownie sundae my son had and the toffee crumble my friend had. Was quiet when we first got there, but by the time we left was very busy. All in all a great visit & definitely return.

Me and my wife came for a meal here as we have been times before. Felt I was let down my chicken burger was over cooked and dry. I had requested chunky chips which I had to ask for as wrong ones were brought to the table. Part of the restaurant was being used for a wake with many of the people upset with what they had just gone through. With recently going through this ourselves we felt that we should have been made aware.

Had lunch here and the food was nicely presented and tasty. Service could be better, only seven diners so they weren’t busy and it took 45 mins to get main meal. No good if you’re in your lunch hour! Quickest service we had was the bill!

We had an early lunch here so the place was quite empty. It's nicely decorated and clean. There is a large car park and beer garden with archery and a giant Connect 4. The pub also hosts events. We ordered the club sandwich, the chicken fillet burger and the cheese and tomato pannini. The pannini could have done with a bit more cheese in it but it was nice. The seasoned fries with the dishes were very tasty and moreish. The wine and drinks were good and the staff friendly and efficient. It was only after we paid and left that we realised they gave us the chicken fillet wrap instead of the brioche burger which should have had onion rings with it too. However they still charged us for the burger which was a more expensive dish than those on the wrap and pannini menu. We would return though.

We ordered 2 sharing roast dinners ,the lamb and gravy had run out so try to go earlier than 5 pm on a sunday as its obviously very popular, they added extra meat to replace the missing lamb and it was enjoyable but we could have done with an extra gravy .
