If there was a rating higher than 5, I would give it. Outstanding food, beautifully presented and served by appropriately attentive staff. We were hosting friends for a milestone birthday and they even had a small sign saying happy birthday on our table. Our guest is a genuinely knowledgeable foodie and an excellent cook (dare I say chef?) himself and he raved. The Gate is a true find. A small gem that we are so fortunate to have in Flesherton.

The cooking class with Chefs Jonathan and Philippe was informative and entertaining. It was such a privilege to get to attend a class with these 2 amazing chefs. Plus you get to enjoy their amazing creations after each demonstration. Wine pairings by Jennifer were outstanding. So happy they have opened this restaurant in Grey Highlands. We can’t wait to go back.

We attended a cooking class with the gate team and a small group of guests (only 5, though usually this number is 10). This was an out of the part experience. The grace and warmth of the whole team was evident from arrival. This is a group of passionate people sharing years of ideas and experience. We came away with knowledge and confidence to try some new dishes, an incredible meal, and very enjoyable night. Check this absolute gem out!

The food was amazing. I really enjoyed the steak -and I seldom eat red meat. The scallops were perfectly seared. Even the presentation of the butter was beautiful. The ambiance was intimate, the staff, including the chef were attentive. The dessert also hit the palate just right. Thank you Gate for another lovely meal.

Pasta appetizer and Mushroom side were incredible….as were the Scallops as main. The side of potatoes was a little too salty, and lobster appetizer was light on lobster. Overall, we had a wonderful meal and would recommend The Gate. We will certainly be back.

We definitely recommend the Gate. One of the best options in the Blue Mountains. Track them and watch the Gate as it evolves! Main courses were fresh and tasty: I had the cod and mushrooms. One more thing: call in advance ; there is a chance you might get a bespoke meal!

One of the best meals we have ever had and the food was exquisite. The ambiance is perfect and we enjoyed the service. Would highly recommend.
