We recently visited The Garden Room and, unfortunately, had an underwhelming experience. While the staff was extremely accommodating, with exceptional bar service, the food fell short of expectations. Bartenders Gabriel and Steven were fantastic, with Steven recommending a standout “Apple a Day” cocktail, which wasn’t on the menu but was a highlight of the visit. The cheese selection was also superb, with each cheese meeting our taste standards. However, our main courses did not live up to the same standard. The Wagyu and grits, while flavorful in terms of the grits, left much to be desired as the Wagyu was overcooked, resulting in a 6/10. The cinnamon roll offered great flavor but was not outstanding, earning a 7/10. Unfortunately, the short rib Benedict became a point of concern when a small hair was discovered in the eggs. This discovery, especially being made later in the meal, significantly impacted our dining experience. Given that my partner is a doctor, this raised additional concerns about cleanliness and food handling. The staff, particularly Miguel and the GM, did their best to remedy the situation and were attentive throughout, removing dishes promptly and addressing the issue. However, the overall damage was already done by that point. While The Garden Room offers beautiful aesthetics and caters to an audience seeking exotic caviars and premium cocktails, our overall experience left us disappointed. Despite this, the staff’s professionalism and efforts did not go unnoticed. We hope to give the restaurant another try in the future, but it’s clear that there are areas in need of improvement.
