Absolutely fantastic breakfast, just as other meals. Really nice and great value due to high quality ingredients. Highly recommend

The food is always great as is the beer. Lady serving us was fab but run off her feet - only her working it seemed. Shame the Great Hall was shut - that's a big reason why we brought our overseas visitor Good experience but not quite as fab as our other visits

Service was slow and the food mediocre. Had to wait too long at the bar to pay the bill.

The food was awful, I’ve been here lots of times and it’s always been great food. My steak was mostly fat and the chips were over cooked and oily I didn’t even eat them, so I basically had a steak which was not great. Didn’t stay for desert as I was so disappointed, if you are going to do special deals on certain days you need to make sure the food is still at the same level as the full priced menu! Won’t be going on a Tuesday again.

Very friendly and welcoming staff however the food was overpriced and very small portions. We had the sea bass and pork belly. The sea bass was described as coming with new potatoes but actually only came with one new potato sliced in to 3 and one small piece of sea bass. We had to order fries once it came out to make it in to a reasonable meal. The pork belly was ok but I couldn’t taste the flavours mentioned in the description and the sweet potato was like deep fried crisps rather than wedges or fries. Slightly disappointed with the experience.

We had four roast dinners at a busy time 2pm , on Sunday . They were brought out fairly quickly . Very tasty and very generous helpings . We would recommend to others .
