Booking a table was simple online with confirmation and reminders of date and time. Bar lady friendly and helpful took our orders. Food arrived quickly. It was presented beautifully and tasted delicious. A good selection of beers and spirits on offer. Can’t fault service or food. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this pub which is also dog friendly.

Although all the staff were very friendly and helpful that is where the positivity ended. We were placed in a small room where only 2 other people were seated. - the rest of the place was lively but we felt like we were in a totally different pub! We all ordered the Sunday roasts, the pork was fine although everyone’s meal was tepid and the roast potatoes so over cooked that it was difficult to cut into them. We did ask if it was possible to have some warm gravy to try and heat up the food which they did do for us but unfortunately it didn’t really help. The beef was rare it was impossible to cut pieces off to eat. In the end my husband gave up with the beef and shared my pork. Such a disappointment we have eaten here before and enjoyed our food- maybe Sunday roasts are just not ‘their thing’. Don’t think we will be returning anytime soon.

Absolutely fantastic breakfast, just as other meals. Really nice and great value due to high quality ingredients. Highly recommend

The food is always great as is the beer. Lady serving us was fab but run off her feet - only her working it seemed. Shame the Great Hall was shut - that's a big reason why we brought our overseas visitor Good experience but not quite as fab as our other visits
