Lovely place to have Sunday lunch. Staff are attentive and polite. Restaurant area is lovely, not too overcrowded. Pub area is very quaint and cosy. Well done team.

This is the second time we have been here of a family meal. Great service, really relaxing atmosphere and good food and beer, what else do you need.

This was my first visit to the Gamekeeper. It has a great menu, some unusual offerings. BUT the service was so slow orders were incorrect. Special requests noted but not delivered and we weren't made aware we couldn't have what we asked for. My selection was from the large plate part on the menu and admittedly the plate was large sadly the food didn't fill it! Left feeling hungry.

Charming pub, loved the “Great Hall” where we ate. Food was good quality and delicious too. The staff were polite, very friendly and helpful too. We shall return. 😋

Beautifully set, friendly staff. A little wait for service but was Father’s Day so expected. Food was enjoyable, and plentiful.

Lovely pub very happy helpful staff. Food well below expectations. No Pease were available No New Potatoes available even though mentioned on menu Chips were soggy and limp. Appeared precooked and just reheated. Chicken pie consisted of precooked chicken cubes in a bowl of soup. Pastry top was like a piece of cardboard. We will not be returning a big improvement is required. unfortunately a big change from earlier times when meals were more a gastronomic delight.

We needed to change our booking which was no problem for this to happen. Thanks The roast dinners we delicious. My guests were very impressed. We always enjoy our meals at the Gamekeeper.

Not as good as a few months ago They must have changed the chef Nut roast was fair - shame because the owner is very friendly Won’t be going back there in a hurry
