Welcome to The Galley! We have your perfect location overlooking the Big Rideau Lake and marina from our roof top lakeview deck, marina view undercover boathouse patio, or gas-dock bar/lounge and dining room, complete with full resorted boat bar.

We are open seasonally for 6 months, May through October. Our executive chef Laurie Ann Brennan has created great feature dishes, generous appetizers, pub food, amazing burgers and wraps, generous salads, and hearty entrees. Enjoy from our selection of 10 on-tap beers from craft breweries and a wine list that is unique and personally curated.

It is the perfect spot for an intimate expereince or spot to meet up with family and friends. Stop by in your boat or pull into Portland off of Highway 15 and head to 11 Water St. You won’t find a better location on the Big Rideau to to expereince a relaxed environment with fantastic food and drink.

    Good food atmosphere but waited way too long for food and drinks. Other tables dined and left well before us so was quite noticeable.

    We have been going to the Galley for several years. Always great service and food. We sat on the upper deck for lunch........beautiful looking out on the marina and lake. Would highly recommend this location to family and friends.

    Enjoyed a great meal and some drinks with our group overlooking the harbour. The renovations have made this an amazing location to dine ‘on the lake’ while enjoying great food and drinks.

    Our first experience was very disappointing. I understand our server was new and this being a long weekend I am hoping it was a one off night. We waited 45 minutes for our drinks and our food was served at 7:10 which our reservation was for 5:15. Most of the table did not enjoy their meal since some were cool and others dry. The Galley was recommend by friends with good review. We are willing to give them another try and this is why we will reserve our final comments until then. We appreciated the Birthday decoration on the table which was a nice touch.

    Amazing atmosphere, service and food with a breathtaking view of The Big Rideau. The new meeting area is a very welcoming addition and you must come see the new bar.

    Best views on food on the Big Rideau lake!  The vibe with the gas dock/boat bar is worth the trip alone. Great beer and wine and the food is really good with generous portions. They have sports on if you like that and a great music playlist along with live music on certain days in the summer.
