Welcome to The Galley! We have your perfect location overlooking the Big Rideau Lake and marina from our roof top lakeview deck, marina view undercover boathouse patio, or gas-dock bar/lounge and dining room, complete with full resorted boat bar.

We are open seasonally for 6 months, May through October. Our executive chef Laurie Ann Brennan has created great feature dishes, generous appetizers, pub food, amazing burgers and wraps, generous salads, and hearty entrees. Enjoy from our selection of 10 on-tap beers from craft breweries and a wine list that is unique and personally curated.

It is the perfect spot for an intimate expereince or spot to meet up with family and friends. Stop by in your boat or pull into Portland off of Highway 15 and head to 11 Water St. You won’t find a better location on the Big Rideau to to expereince a relaxed environment with fantastic food and drink.

Food was amazing very fresh Amazing service Recommended to many people. Too bad it’s not open until next spring Can’t wait to go back Sherri the bartender very friendly and chatty in a good way

If ever you are in the Portland area you must check out The Galley! Live entertainment in the Boathouse, amazing sunset views from the roof top patio and a very friendly bar that displays one of the coolest bar tops I have ever seen. A real Florida Keys vibe that must be experienced. Steve H

This location is one of the best on the Rideau system. The Servers and Sheri the bartender are nothing short of excellent. It’s a basic fun spot with locals, boaters and visitors from afar. Sit up above or watch the drinks being prepared from the bar below. It’s a great location and it has great people to make you feel welcome.

The fries I had were not very good, seemed like old fries, and the beer pitcher had too much of a head on it.

Number of items listed on menu were not available. Service was very slow…, more staff is needed. Fish Chowder was nothing more than corn and potatoes in a clear broth. We’ve had many great meals at the Galley but this time was a miss all around.

The food was great, very delicious. But we actually went for the view and it did NOT disappoint. We were literally on the water! 10/10
