We've been coming to The Gage almost ever since it opened, and have always enjoyed an excellent meal with above average service, but on our recent visits they seem to have redoubled their efforts (if that is even possible) to create a pleasant dining experience. Servers are attentive without being intrusive, cordial, dedicated to pleasing, knowledgeable. And the food is always delicious. (Do not miss the Brussel Sprouts Tartine.) Unfortunately inflation is catching up with their pricing, but you can hardly fault them for that.

Gage has been my go to for years day in the city. Sat outside very loud. Server very busy, service ok. I had to flag her down for the check. Fish and chips still great. Caprese sandwich not great, soggy. Salmon BLT good. Not sure when I’ll be back.

Excellent food, aesthetically pleasing on the plate, as well. Wait staff was excellent - recommendations, service, everything!

One of my favorite places for lunch. Good menu choices and excellent service. The back of the restaurant is more quiet and better for conversations. Anthony our waiter and Tony, the new manager provided extra attention and checked in with us to make sure we were satisfied. I strongly recommend Gage for lunch or dinner!

It's loud and energetic and close quarters. The meek and mild might want to find a quieter place.

Our server was nice, but clearly was determined to not take our orders, even when we said we were ready to order. Maybe kitchen was backed up? It would have been better just to tell us that. Outside of that, everything was excellent. The wine list pricing is awfully high end, considering the entree prices. Our $85.00 bottle of Sauvignon Blanc was extremely unremarkable. We loved the varied entrees, such a wide and interesting range of cuisines.

Great place for an after show nightcap. Loved the speed of the service and the food was great! Would definitely go back!
