Le Gage est un restaurant classé 4 étoiles situé en face de Millennium Park dans un bâtiment historique classé monument historique à la fin des années 1800.     We were warmly greeted by their manager, Tony, who introduced us to one of his best servers, Maggie. Our service was outstanding and we were surprised by a special dessert. Our favorite restaurant visit after a concert by the CSO. Ray and Denise

    Excellent food and service, tasteful ambience, a very nice evening. Not our first time here and hopefully not our last. Highly recommended

    Had high hopes for this restaurant but ended up disappointed. We tried the corn chowder which was super watery and very under seasoned. It was better once we added additional salt and pepper from the table to it, but definitely not worth the price. I tried the English pea ravioli which flavor wise was okay, however it came out almost room temperature. My husband tried a pork shoulder special they had going for Oktoberfest which also severely lacked in flavor. We chose this restaurant for our 10th wedding anniversary which I noted to the hostess as well as to our waitress and there was no acknowledgment of it. Definitely save your time and money and pick any other restaurant in Chicago to visit. I am flabbergasted that this restaurant is on the Michelin star list.

    Do NOT forget to order the French Toast and Pancakes! They are absolutely outstanding. The best we have ever had!!!!!

    Great food and wine! Service was excellent and the table was great, if a little dark. My favorite was treating myself to a cup of coffee and the crème brûlée. Highly recommend.

    The food and the service were impeccable. We were sat in the back room and it did get quite noisy, as it was very busy. I had a lovely evening and will definitely return but I will ask to be sat in the front open area next time. Great spot!

    Food was excellent (steak salad and scallop special). The owner stopped by our table, as he often does when I visit, and when finding we were celebrating our birthdays, he brought over complimentary split of champagne and also included a piece of delicious cheese cake with poached pear for dessert. The food and service are consistently excellent.

    The Gage never disappoints. One of my favorite places to entertain or just have fun. The staff is amazing and Billy makes you feel at home.

    As always, the Gage was an excellent choice for our lunch today. Hint to other restaurants: having the owner/ manager come around and ask how your meal was is a brilliant touch. More should do this.
