Michelin starred Frog by Adam Handling is a place to really submerge yourself in a theatrical show. You’re facing the kitchen, the chefs come to your table and you are able to really interact with every member of the team. Frog is luxury in an environment where you feel comfortable being whoever you are and where all elements in the restaurant are connected to offer a truly memorable experience.

The dishes are very emotional and they all mean something to Adam. Each and every one of the dishes has a story behind it, whether it’s a memory from Adam’s childhood or something that has inspired him or the team.

Having visited both your restaurants in Cornwall a couple of weeks ago, we were looking forward to visiting The Frog. Sadly it wasn't nowhere as nice an experience. The atmosphere was poor especially given the location, myself and my partner agreed that some of your staff members just weren't right for the position. The main issue being we couldn't here the presenter explaining about each course. We also felt there wasn't as many courses as in The Ugly Butterfly.

Our new favourite restaurant. The dishes showed personality, the staff were faultless, and appreciated a really well thought out non-alcoholic pairing which was so refreshing to see. Absolutely fantastic!

Extremely overpriced! Experience not worth it. Firstly I should say that our waitress was outstanding. She was attentive, took the time to explain the dishes and any meaningful stories, and was engaged. While she was excellent, she along was not worth the price of admission. Frogs is an example of a restaurant taking extreme advantage of its Michelin star recognition (and yet another reason why I prefer theworldstop50 as a restaurant rating organization over the tire guys). £900 for a mediocre meal for two is outrageous. The various upcharge items were managed quick tackily as well. There are only two options for the main, one of which has a £40 upcharge. When you have a set menu and only one item that is optional, wagyu beef as an option should not be an upcharge on a £195 menu! Later we were offered a cheese course - which was apparently also an upcharge of £20 for one piece of cheese. In poor taste is that we were amongst the last remaining for dinner, sitting right in front of the open kitchen and the announcement was made with strong disdain “they want the cheese course!” I said to the waitress, if we had known this would upset the chefs, we just as well would not have ordered it - we are after all paying, it’s not like we are being gifted anything for free. The wine pairing is a joke. £150 for 6 pours of largely unremarkable wines. The sommelier that started was great at explanations and engaging; the gentleman that took over from her about half way through our meal not so much. There is not any value whatsoever in getting the wine pairings - if you decide to go here, either order a single bottle that you like which would be more enjoyable and more cost effective or go without wine. They also add a 15% gratuity charge to your bill. It’s described as optional, but it’s already presented on your bill when they bring the machine - so it doesn’t come across as optional at all. At the price point of the meal, 15% gratuity is excessive. Disappointed!

An exquisite — and refreshingly unpretentious — fine dining experience. An enormous amount of artistry and thought is in evidence and greatly appreciated.

Frog is simply outstanding. From the second you arrive, you are made to feel welcome and special. The food went far beyond our expectations. The wine pairing hostess was brilliant and definitely deserves a special mention.

We sat at the bar and it was fabulous to see such an efficient cohesive and caring team under a chef with an eagle eye for detail

My partner and I was astounded at how amazing this place was. It was a special evening for us both celebrating 10 wonderful years together and it exceeded all of our expectations. The food was out of this world and so was the service. This is going to be hard to beat in the years to come. You would be silly not to choose here for your special occasion. If you do you won’t be disappointed.
