The Friendly Society is Elora's best-loved neighborhood restaurant. The decor is romantic yet rustic, the vibe is hip and comfortable, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. It is located on the river, steps from the Elora Mill, with a licensed patio and live music in the summer.

Chef Marc Gebran offers classic elevated comfort food with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. Our well-stocked bar offers a wide range of beers, a lovingly-curated wine list, and a full cocktail menu.

    we had the cheese curds for an appetizer, chicken wings and the wayugu burger and dirty fries, pay the extra and get the dirty fries, food was amazing!

    Always good, way better than other restaurants in Elora. Good choice of menu items. Other restaurants do not have enough choice, only 4 or 5 choices. Prices good. No rough clientele like another restaurant in town, also same place a hit or a miss, won’t go back.

    I have been to the Friendly Society on several occasions. I have always left happy. I had the Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl and my husband had the Reuben sandwich. My bowl was fresh and ample and the dressings on the side matched it perfectly. My husband enjoyed his Reuben but would have liked more sauerkraut. He said the fries were the best. He had a Peach Mule to drink and I had a non-alcoholic mocktail which was very refreshing and served in a fun, ceramic glass. I recommend the Friendly Society to anyone.

    Really enjoyed our dining experience. My wife and I stopped by for lunch and the vibe was really amazing, we ate inside and seating was private and not too noisy.. Food options were great and the calamari was incredible.. highly recommend the beyond meat bowl, super delicious with just the right amount of crunch.. great ears and great value, will definitely be back 👍👍👍

    Very good food and service. Nice little spot in Elora. Make sure to make reservations as they get really busy.
