The Friendly Society is Elora's best-loved neighborhood restaurant. The decor is romantic yet rustic, the vibe is hip and comfortable, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. It is located on the river, steps from the Elora Mill, with a licensed patio and live music in the summer.

Chef Marc Gebran offers classic elevated comfort food with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. Our well-stocked bar offers a wide range of beers, a lovingly-curated wine list, and a full cocktail menu.

Great atmosphere, the main I got was smaller than a salad, but was priced higher. We were also seated for 45 minutes before we received our drinks. Beautiful spot but service was not great that night and some items are over priced for what you get.

First time visiting and it was a great experience. My boyfriend and i went for his birthday and we did the all you can eat Sunday brunch. Really good tapas style brunch items. I would definitely recommend this place. The inside is beautiful and cozy especially set up for fall. Would definitely go back again

This is for sure my favourite local restaurant! We loved the tapas sized plates, so you can have tons of variety for brunch!! All of our food came out quickly and our server Avery was friendly and fun. We will for sure book brunch again!

Had a lovely brunch with my girlfiriends. Food and service are great. We came from Brampton and the long drive is so worth it.

I was very disappointed that they have all but removed all vegan options from their menu. I go here often because my mom lives in Elora and today I was very disappointed. The amazing vegan bowl they had in the past was gone so they were okay with substituting the tuna in their tuna bowl for tofu…but I paid the same price as if it was tuna and they gave me like 4 tiny pieces of soggy uncooked tofu. Not at all worth it. Plus they used to have the most amazing crispy tofu and now they just basically boil it. It’s soft and tasteless. They still have a beyond burger but some of us prefer a healthier option. Bring back the crispy seasoned tofu and the dragon bowl!!!! Service was good as usual.

Not sure what all the hoopla is. Food was ok. Wife order shrimp bowl with NO guacamole. Guess what? Came with guacamole and rice was cold (thought it would be hot). I ordered the Lebanese chicken. Not much to it. Waitress said it came with flavourful rice. Came with plain steam rice. Naan bread was the mini ones you get at Costco. Overall nothing comped. With app, dessert and tip around $150. Don’t think I’ll be back.

The burgers were amazing. We sat outside on the patio but it was later in the evening so very little traffic noise.
