The Friendly Society is Elora's best-loved neighborhood restaurant. The decor is romantic yet rustic, the vibe is hip and comfortable, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. It is located on the river, steps from the Elora Mill, with a licensed patio and live music in the summer.

Chef Marc Gebran offers classic elevated comfort food with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. Our well-stocked bar offers a wide range of beers, a lovingly-curated wine list, and a full cocktail menu.

Highlights include Sunday brunch, summer cocktails on the patio, a romantic date night, and dinner with friends.

    Excellent in all ways. Too noisy at the time of arrival but that happens when 12 gals together. Fortunately they left before we ate. Awesome. Really nice. We have just moved into the community and looking forward to returning there.

    By far the best place to enjoy fine pub fare in the heart of Elora. Great staff and good pub food. Would highly recommend, but, also recommend to make reservations as this place gets crazy busy!

    As always the Friendly Society was great. I met a friend for supper and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere on the patio. We never felt rushed and our server was delightful! It’s one of our favourite spots to go to!

    I booked a table for my husband's birthday for lunch. We had a great time. The cocktails were amazing and the vibes was very nice.

    I have dined at Friendly Society numerous times, and it is always fantastic! The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is top-notch. Whether I'm there for a casual lunch or dinner, Friendly Society never disappoints. Highly recommend!

    was good. Staff is friendly but slow. Main issue is you can tell most of the fried items are all put into the same oil. Eggs Benedict was too sweet and tasted like the beignet.

    Absolutely fabulous place to eat. Service was good and fast. Very cool decor. Lots of vegetarian dishes as well as vegan. Food was great and the servings were quite large.
