The Friendly Society is Elora's best-loved neighborhood restaurant. The decor is romantic yet rustic, the vibe is hip and comfortable, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. It is located on the river, steps from the Elora Mill, with a licensed patio and live music in the summer.

Chef Marc Gebran offers classic elevated comfort food with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. Our well-stocked bar offers a wide range of beers, a lovingly-curated wine list, and a full cocktail menu.

    Great place, great food and service. It is small and can be noisy and crowded, but the great food makes up for it.

    Our server was very friendly and the food was delicious. We did have to send our soup back s it was cool . The only complaint we had was the restaurant itself was cool and the door at the top of the stairs opening and closing didn’t help.

    I wrote noice as moderate, but it was more than fine, so nice to hear and see so many people out enjoy themselves and the great food and staff. Thank you so much as always.

    Fish and chips, eaten by my 3 friends apparently was quite good. I had a Cesar Salad with a piece of chicken, and it was not good at all. No taste to the salad, and the thin piece of chicken was dry, dry, dry.
