The Friendly Society is Elora's best-loved neighborhood restaurant. The decor is romantic yet rustic, the vibe is hip and comfortable, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. It is located on the river, steps from the Elora Mill, with a licensed patio and live music in the summer.

Chef Marc Gebran offers classic elevated comfort food with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. Our well-stocked bar offers a wide range of beers, a lovingly-curated wine list, and a full cocktail menu.

    One of the best dining experiences we have had in the past year. Cocktails were great and food was excellent.

    I booked a table for my husband's birthday for lunch. We had a great time. The cocktails were amazing and the vibes was very nice.

    I have dined at Friendly Society numerous times, and it is always fantastic! The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is top-notch. Whether I'm there for a casual lunch or dinner, Friendly Society never disappoints. Highly recommend!

    was good. Staff is friendly but slow. Main issue is you can tell most of the fried items are all put into the same oil. Eggs Benedict was too sweet and tasted like the beignet.

    Absolutely fabulous place to eat. Service was good and fast. Very cool decor. Lots of vegetarian dishes as well as vegan. Food was great and the servings were quite large.

    Great place, but a little loud. 4 of us out for dinner. 3 meals were OK and the 4th was meh. The service was good. It was really busy so we’ll chalk up the average food to that. Pricing was average with the exception of the one dish. Double the others and half as good.

    Great food selection and choices even if you have certain dietary intolerances or preferences. Service was very quick but not obtrusive. The inside was bigger than expected and very cute decor.
