The French Quarter is a relaxed neighbourhood restaurant & wine Bar in a community of unique and quirky businesses in Newcastle city Centre. We are a friendly and approachable team of people, with a passion for the good things in life. Born from nostalgia for a traditional style of commerce and a desire to challenge perceptions that French dining is formal or fussy, we work with independent suppliers to offer a regularly changing wine list & tapas style menu. We have created a casual and sociable environment where customers are invited to experience our food, try our wines, shop from our deli and share our love of all things French!

Super meal. Whilst the fans to move the air around were helpful, the heat upstairs was very uncomfortable. Think this needs addressing in some way. Happy evening.

Been to this restaurant a few times but this time we found the food to be smaller portions. Still delicious and service great. Wine was lovely. Overall good but probably wouldn’t go back now. Steaks too small for a main course

One of my favourite restaurants in Newcastle the atmosphere is cosy chatty and not too noisy. The food particular the beef and the duck dishes. The best wine list in the town excellent variety of french wines and reasonable prices Staff are engaging well trained the the lady manager is exceptional

One of the best restaurants in Newcastle. Took group of Swedish visitors, impressed with food, atmosphere and service.

Friendly and welcoming. Menu was well explained and our waiter was helpful and attentive. Food was of high quality and arrived in good time. Would love to go back sometime.

We had such a wonderful time for our anniversary last night, the food was fantastic, tasty, well presented. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, Max our server couldn't do enough, overall definitely worth a visit!

Loved our first visit. Excellent service. They staff member behind the bar (from Oban I Scotland) was very good and very friendly. Liked the small plates / tapas style menu with plenty of choice. Will definitely be back.

Great ambience. French bistrot menu, but served as ‘small plates’. Purists might struggle with the concept of ‘French tapas’, but the quality of the individual dishes was excellent. And a quality wine list. Highly recommend.
