The French Quarter is a relaxed neighbourhood restaurant & wine Bar in a community of unique and quirky businesses in Newcastle city Centre. We are a friendly and approachable team of people, with a passion for the good things in life. Born from nostalgia for a traditional style of commerce and a desire to challenge perceptions that French dining is formal or fussy, we work with independent suppliers to offer a regularly changing wine list & tapas style menu. We have created a casual and sociable environment where customers are invited to experience our food, try our wines, shop from our deli and share our love of all things French!

    Food and service were amazing, not the cheapest but at the end of the day you get what you pay for , many restaurants could learn from how well the staff are trained and treat the customers it so adds to the dining experience

    Such a cute place to go for a meal - I took my husband for his birthday. We’d never been before and while it was nice I didn’t think the food was fantastic and some of the meat we had was quite tough - but the ambiance was nice and I really recommend the charcuterie board

    Delicious small plate styled menu with beautiful dishes. A modern twist on French dishes and an excellent wine list. We enjoyed the bavette steak and the cheese platter especially. The service was light and entertaining, and we had a wonderful evening. Would highly recommend.

    Lovely authentic food coupled with superb service makes the French Quarter well worth a visit. We were there on a Saturday night and it was busy but we were very well looked after.

    Visited our favourite place yesterday for my husbands birthday. The French Quarter never disappoints. Amazing service by informative and friendly staff, great food and delicious wines! We look forward to coming back
