The Fox - A beautifully refurbished 15th Century pub in the village of Lower Bourne situated within Farnham, Surrey with executive chef Tom Buckwell heading up a kitchen serving contemporary British cuisine with a modern twist and General Manager Michelle Alders supplying an eclectic mix of old and new world wines, working closely with suppliers and producers to bring something a little different.
The Dining Room - Upstairs at The Fox you will find a comfortable dining room to relax in a homely feel while you dine with us.
The Private Dining Room - Our private dining room and snug area are available for up to 10 adults for lunch and dinner reservations.
The Bar - The bar area at the fox has been lovingly refurbished to give a cosy casual feel for any occasion, in front of the fire in the winter, 6 Nations rugby on show on one of the television screens or coffee morning meets the bar covers all with a range of seating areas.

Well, quite apart from the fact that my booking via Open Table didn't work (I rang to confirm and they had no record of it, so I rebooked) and the noise levels were astounding (FA Cup on the TV, background music and a live singer all going at once) the food was great, the staff were friendly and fun and we had a great time. This is, after all, a Greek restaurant and things just develop as you go along. On a different night I'm sure it would be quieter but this didn't spoil anything for me. We're used to going out in Athens and the islands where anything can and often does happen spontaneously. So, drop your airs and graces, don't expect Ritz style treatment and you'll love it. The food was excellent well cooked Greek style and, for the Farnham and Surrey area, not too pricey I think. Give it a try.

This new Restaurant (Yiayias) at The Fox was a real treat. This was a family outing (3 generations) and we all love Cypriot food, with some of our party visiting Cyprus every year. The food was perfect, the service warm and friendly, and the enthusiasm from all the Staff as infectious. So good that some of our party have already booked to return this weekend. If this service continues it will soon become one of our local favourites.

Poor service, ordered steak after 15 mins told did not have in stock , when food arrived 2 meals turned up together 3rd meal they forgot so had to wait 10 mins so food got cold , expected better service and food considering the price, will not be returning again.

Having waited 45 minutes for our good it was missing the cauliflower cheese and red cabbage as per the menu. We asked for them but only the cauliflower cheese was delivered. The beef was quite fatty. Luckily this pub is now changing to a Greek restaurant so it may serve up better food, who knows!!

The food was excellent but as their was only two of us it was still hot when it arrived at the table. If we were a larger party this probably wouldn't be the case because as the kitchen was on the first floor and the restaurant upstairs and as the waiter/waitress could only manage a couple of plates at a time by the time the whole table was served the meals that arrived first would be cold.

Great place to take friends who were visiting. Were able to move table to our preferred option.

Rainy day late Sunday lunch with friends. Almost like private dining as we were afforded the side room to the dining area. Great atmosphere and attentive staff.

We spent a Saturday afternoon and evening at the Fox. The pub garden is very large and decked on levels, we enjoyed a couple of late afternoon drinks outside in the sun before heading up to eat in the dining room upstairs. The dining room is uniquely decorated, very quirky and cosy. The food was great, couldn’t really fault it. Service good too. A great find, a local gem.

Fabulous garden area (we had a cabana at the top) with excellent service and BBQ facilities outside. Caters for families as well as groups of friends wanting to enjoy a brilliant outdoor space.

Food is excellent.I have a long list of food allergies and intolerances and The Fox is absolutely brilliant at accommodating me! Very friendly helpful staff. Comfy seating. Highly recommend.
