The Fox & Pheasant is a little “country” pub tucked away in a small corner of Chelsea.

The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!

Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! We are lucky enough to be able to wind back our roof in the conservatory for those long summer lunches to.

Alongside our a la carte menu we have a bar snack menu that not only runs all day, everyday but also contains such pub classics. Roasts run all day on a Sunday and we guarantee to make sure you will always have ample spuds, gravy and yorkies!

We had a lovely evening - we were visiting from Melbourne and dined here to catch up with some friends , and celebrated a birthday too, food was delicious and we were made so welcome - thank you, would definitely recommend!

We booked as a party of 4 and it certainly didn’t disappoint, the food was fabulous, our waitress was Zuzi and she was exceptional. Highly recommend.

Overall a super Father’s Day Sunday lunch. Very attentive and friendly service. Just have to mention how extremely tight the tables were. Politely at least we are small people but anyone taller and larger would not have managed to sit there. Would suggest the amount of tables in the conservatory is looked at. And blinds across all roof windows would be a good investment as we had a four month old with us (on our laps as no room for the pram at the table which added to the difficulty of how squished it was) and it became very warm very quickly. Would recommend however for food and service.

An outstanding experience. The atmosphere was fun and super appealing. Every member of the staff was friendly, helpful and professional. The food was amazing. Would highly recommend.

The atmosphere is terrific. Local flavor and cheer. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Service was quick. Food and drink were excellent. Highly recommended for a chill Sunday pub.
