The Fox & Pheasant is a little “country” pub tucked away in a small corner of Chelsea.

The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!

Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! We are lucky enough to be able to wind back our roof in the conservatory for those long summer lunches to.

Alongside our a la carte menu we have a bar snack menu that not only runs all day, everyday but also contains such pub classics. Roasts run all day on a Sunday and we guarantee to make sure you will always have ample spuds, gravy and yorkies!

We had a really good experience at the Fox and Pheasant. Really lovely atmosphere, it did get quite noisy at the height of service but then it died down again. The food was delicious. Service could do with being a bit more attentive but we weren’t in a hurry so this didn’t bother us too much. I’d definitely go back.

Our boutique B&B guests loved the Fox & Pheasant, last night. We made sure they walked around outside the historic ‘cottages’ in this tiny historical, charming enclave and enjoyed the floral display for Instagram fun, before enjoying the best cocktails, fish & chips and wine inside. Tony and the team know how much we appreciate their great service and highest standards. Our secret, the F&B pub. Thank you. Barclay House London B&B

Incredible Sunday lunch at the Fox & Pheasant - recommend the Pork Belly Roast, was delicious and portions are super generous! Wine list is very good too.

This is a review of three visits, the first was a Sunday lunch in the back in the horseshoe booths and everything was pleasant, service was excellent and all aspects of the meal were excellent. There was the loud table but that always seems to happen. Second visit was with visitors from the USA, again service was good, my beef special was excellent and the salad was fresh and well dressed. My guest ordered a VG disk which I would not have ordered but it was their choice of course. Third visit was not up to standards, was at table 7 which is not lucky but busy. Seems like we had three different servers and only one was competent. The wines were excellent, perfect temperature. The baby gem salad was- undressed, ie, no dressing. I tried to find someone but my server was not around. My guests steak was excellent as were chips, my pork t-bone not nearly as good. Desert was endless mousse and that is always good. Tab for two came to £113 which was way too much for my average entree. I forgot to mention that the greeter at the front window was not the least bit cordial and as we had never come at opening time didn't know that there was no entry until 18:00 on a Saturday. So you should be in good hands but watch out for the occassional bad day.

Everything wonderful especially the endless chocolate mousse at the end which was light and exceptional.

A beautiful setting and a warm welcome. Both my wife and I had the ham hock and cheese pie and it was excellent. Finished off with a fine sorbet and a light and very tasty cheesecake. We will return

Another visit and another great dinner. Business this time. Quietish Wednesday evening but still a nice buzz. Food excellent as ever, highly recommend the sea bream...service could have been a tad more attentive, we had to ask to have our order taken having been there for a bit.

The meal was excellent as good as our last visit, the pie as scrumptious as always and the rice pudding was one of the best I’ve had

Food is always great here, we booked so we wouldn’t be disappointed and we definitely weren’t. It was a Sunday but neither of us were up for a roast so we had the sea bream and a steak, both excellent.
