The Fox and Hounds is a gastro pub and restaurant, nestling in the heart of the beautiful village of Whittlebury, South Northamptonshire. We’re just a stone’s throw from the home of motor sport – Silverstone – and close to the market towns of Towcester, Brackley and Buckingham.

Inside, the team have created a comfortable and welcoming environment, perfect for you to relax, socialise, eat and unwind. Open to the whole family.

Our Head Chef has created a menu for all tastes and occasions. From a light bite or traditional pub food in the bar, to modern brasserie dishes served in one of our dining rooms, we cater for every occasion.

I haven't been to the Fox & Hounds for many years and was surprised at the reconfiguration which I felt was all wrong. The bar should always be near the entrance or at least be visible from the entrance door. The decor is tired and it doesn't have the cozy country pub feel. Happy to say the food was lovely and the service was very good. I was delighted to see swordfish on the menu and it was cooked to perfection.

Best roast beef eaten. Very tender and tasty. Excellent portion size. A very enjoyable Sunday lunch. Thank you.

Amazing friendly service. Food was outstanding especially the the roast belly pork. Good quality ingredients. Strongly recommend.

The menu was short with lots of choice. The food was very tasty and well presented. The only downside was the lack of a front of house staff to greet the guests. This only matters if you have never visited before. I’m sure that can be fixed easily.

Delicious birthday lunch with pals, such fresh food, well worth the detour on the A43. We will be back!
