A country inn pub with bar, rooms and a covered terrace overlooking St Cadoc's Church in the beautiful village of Llancarfan
We look forward to welcoming you to The Fox and Hounds - a destination pub in the secluded village of Llancarfan on the banks of a little brook. We have a large terraced area which is perfect to enjoy a chilled glass of wine or beer on a summer's evening. In the winter, relax in a comfortable chair in our newly refurbished bar next to the roaring log burner.

Dogs are more than welcome at The Fox and Hounds and they can join you at your table should you wish. There is even a jar of doggie treats for them on the bar!

Excellent Sunday lunch, taking advantage of the newly introduced Halibut dish included in the menu. Beautiful presented and cooked, with delicious and well balanced accompaniments. Freshly prepared Calamari to start made for a delicious meal. Highly recommended. Obviously a skilled chef with friendly service from staff.

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch. All 3 people very happy, beautifully cooked and presented vegetables and the 3 mains of Beef Wellington roast, pork and lamb were excellent. The desserts were delicious. We'll be back.

What a lovely spot! We had a room which was very comfortable, The meal we had was fantastic, really tasty and beautifully presented!

Excellent experience, the service was outstanding and all of our requirements were met, great pauses between courses. First time back here for a while, food was cooked perfectly and presentation was nice.

Booked the fox and hound as a Father’s Day meal. Despite not being aware it was Sunday lunch only the food could not be faulted The fishcakes were amazing to start and the portion sizes were just right without being overwhelming The service was fast and it was nice and quiet in a beautiful swtting

The meals we had were excellent; very well cooked and presented in an appealing way. We were very pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed the meal, the decor and the pub restaurant's layout. Although the pub is up for sale, the staff, including the chef, are apparently staying on. That is good and we will be eating there again soon.

Went to the Fox and Hounds with my wife and 2 children. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the staff were brilliant. We were served by Emily and Chloe who were amazing. Highly recommend this fantastic gem of a pub

This is a gorgeous pub in beautiful countryside, a must for a drink on a warm day in the garden or a cold day in the cosy bar. Staff are friendly and efficient and the chef very good! As a vegetarian there was limited choice but the celeriac was delicious and not run-of-mill fare. A shame there's no small-plates/snack lunch menu. Otherwise a lovely afternoon was had!

The food quality and overall presentation is fantastic. You will not find better prepared food anywhere locally. The service was a little slow between the courses. Understand that on Sundays it can be a little busy on roast lunches. Staffing levels need looking at. There is no childrens menu. Only a reduced version of the main Sunday menu. Suggest putting on a childrens menu. The restaurant was a little cold during our stay.
