The Fountain Ashurst is a 16th Century Pub located in the beautiful village of Ashurst, West Sussex.

It is quintessentially English with flagstone flooring, low beams and plenty of cosy corners and comfortable seating.

Extremely popular all year round, you can enjoy our stunning landscaped gardens and pond area outside during the Summer months including the infamous 'beach area'. During the colder months we boast two large fireplaces in both areas of our bar for you to cosy up in and enjoy a warming beverage.

Really good roast dinners - and good value for money. Servers were very nice, it was just very busy because of Father’s Day. Would definitely go back.

Absolutely gorgeous, traditional country pub. Food was delicious and lovely, friendly service . Will definitely return !

I had the pork roast (rolled pork) the pork was very disappointing, tough and lacked the crackling. 2 friends had the crab dish which they commented was very small for the price.

Wedding and a party was going on, they were short staffed and rushed off their feet but the service was good and tried to accommodate our booking as best they could, started at one table then moved to another as our booked table wasn’t ready

My first visit and was not disappointed. Enjoyed the chicken and bacon sandwich. Would definitely visit again

Fabulous location and great food too. The garden was great for Sunday lunch - and it's dog friendly .

Beautiful setting. Venue well presented. Starters were great. Main course a disaster. Soup had tin foil in, the roast pork was tough, roast potatoes tasted 3 days old. And the staff forgot about our drinks. For a £120 meal I expect much better.

The greeting was well done and the service excellent. The food was delivered in a timely manor and portion size just right. I have to admit at this stage I was a Factory Manager for most of my life in the food industry. So I notice odd things the only one I would highlight was the toilet floors. Look around the edges and you will see where the mop has missed around corners. It's the same issue with any cleaning you need to get into the detail into the edges to make it fully clean. Hope this helps and we will be back as it was a fantastic meal and thanks for the Happy Birthday candle and tune and very nice addition to the visit....
