The Foundry Rooftop restaurant is located on the sixth floor of the AC Hotel in downtown Dayton. Inspired by the fire within foundries, the factories that produce metal castings, this wood-fired kitchen embraces the flame. Devour new takes on internally-inspired cuisine with our Loaded Potato Pizza and Ingot Crab Crakes, or our signature Foundry Reuben and Charred Meatballs. Hearty, midwestern favorites from Chef's David Belknap and Jason Findley anchor our menu like our Crispy Pork Belly and 24-Hour Chicken. And with a combination of smoked whiskeys, classic cocktails, and local beers, you’ll always have the perfect pairing of spirits to enhance the heat of your meal. Made for Dayton locals, or those local for the day, we invite you to join us on our open-air rooftop patio for dinner, drinks and celebrating your most special occasions with a private event.

The Foundry will be offering a Traditional Buffet for Thanksgiving. The menu will consist of Smoked Turkey Breast, Stuffed Pork Loin. Our Buffet will have Traditional Stuffing, House made Cranberry Sauce, Green Bean Casserole, Mashed Potatoes, Candied Sweet Potatoes, Fried Brussel Sprouts w/Candied Bacon, Baked Mac & Cheese. Our Desserts will consist of Mini Assorted Pies, Sticky Toffee Date Cake Pops, Assorted Mini Cakes such as Gingerbread, Pumpkin and many others. The Foundry will be offering a Holiday Cocktail Menu and Wine Bottle Specials.

Our waiter was no where to be found most of the night. Charged us the wrong amount and tried to talk us into giving him a cash tip so he didn’t have to share it with the other wait staff. We had to keep bothering another nice waitress to get us what we wanted.

My husband loved the calamari. We both thought the short ribs was delicious! Our waitress was very good

24 hour brined chicken was served raw / half cooked. Ribeye was over cooked.

We sat at a booth which was very odd- the table was way to high for the booth- literally chest height. Also very dark . Servers had a lot of trouble figuring out how to serve. We ordered a 230 dollar champagne and the fool who opened it had no idea what he was doing- really an embarrassment. Champagne isn’t poured like milk it is poured at an angle. The glasses he filled were 80% foam ruining the flavor..

We had a large party (15) and they did a great job accommodating us at two large tables. Great service and food was delicious and prompt. We had pizza, salmon, pasta and risotto. All delicious. Highly recommend!

While the food and the ambiance were amazing, the wait staff and the service was awful. It took 25 minutes for our appetizer and then another 45 minutes for our food. No one apologized, no one offered us a refill on our drinks, and they didn't even remember who ordered what when the food finally came out. Even worse, I told them it was my son's 18th birthday in advance, They didn't even make an effort to make it special or give us the service we deserved. NEVER AGAIN
