The Foundry Rooftop restaurant is located on the sixth floor of the AC Hotel in downtown Dayton. Inspired by the fire within foundries, the factories that produce metal castings, this wood-fired kitchen embraces the flame. Devour new takes on internally-inspired cuisine with our Loaded Potato Pizza and Ingot Crab Crakes, or our signature Foundry Reuben and Charred Meatballs. Hearty, midwestern favorites from Chef's David Belknap and Jason Findley anchor our menu like our Crispy Pork Belly and 24-Hour Chicken. And with a combination of smoked whiskeys, classic cocktails, and local beers, you’ll always have the perfect pairing of spirits to enhance the heat of your meal. Made for Dayton locals, or those local for the day, we invite you to join us on our open-air rooftop patio for dinner, drinks and celebrating your most special occasions with a private event.

Buffalo chicken pizza and calamari were fabulous! Had the pizza “well done” for crispy crust and got a side of hot sauce. They were very busy but the staff had it together….service was great.

I had specifically requested a table that was quiet with dim lighting for this occasion as we were on a date. This is NOT what we received. We were at a table with people close on either side of us. It was bright and not inviting. We were trying to have a private conversation and those around us could hear which was very frustrating. The food was good. The service was workers were just ok. They had an energy of being annoyed that we were dining and had to tend to us. I’m not sure if we will be back.

We had a party of eight, and over half the food ordered was downright terrible. Rice on two dishes was completely undercooked. Steak was not under seasoned… it wasn’t seasoned at all. For the price of the steak, it was certainly disappointing. Salmon was overcooked and dry. It felt like since we had an automatic gratuity added to our check (we knew about it going in), the staff didn’t do anything special to earn it. Food was extremely subpar for the prices and management didn’t have any answers when asked. We were all excited because we had heard great things but we just had a very subpar experience. It’s a shame, too… location and views were great. Ambience was nice, too. The service and food, however, were not. Extremely disappointed and we will not recommend this place to our friends.

The Foundry is a classy yet easy going restaurant in Dayton, Ohio. The food was delicious, there was live music on the night we went. The music wasn’t loud enough that we couldn’t talk, it was a very lovely singer. The service was great and we even got to chat with the head Chef!!! Great experience!!

Brunch was a disaster. Limited menu, marginal food, poor service. The atmosphere and the view were nice but not much better to say than that. Very inflexible with menu modifications, and the server needed a locator button to find her. Meanwhile, the manager/owner (someone of importance) sat over on the side doing paperwork as though this was operating as expected. Next time I'll pass....

Didn't ask for a double was charged 48 dollars for two drinks. Will not return ever

First time here for food. I’ve had drinks on the outdoor patio before. Drinks are amazing. Food was outstanding. There were 5 of us, and we each got a different meal, and everyone was very satisfied Love the atmosphere. Will be back
