  • Speakeasy - The Midnight Room

    The Midnight Room is a reservation only, cocktail experience. Once you are able to find the secret entrance, you will be met with a different experience from our dining area. Our mixologist will interview patrons about their drink preferences and then compose cocktails on the fly to fulfill their wildest dreams. The Midnight Room is cocktails only. Please be sure if you want to eat before your speakeasy experience, to make a reservation for our dining room and then for our Midnight Room. You will be transported to a whole different experience with all 5 of your senses. Please note the Midnight Room is only open Wednesday-Saturday.

    I made reservations here after a recommendation from a friend. I was told it was a speakeasy hidden inside of The Forum that had no menu and that I would be interviewed by the bartender on my drink preferences and that the bartender would make me a custom drink based on my feedback. I read the description here and it said it is HIDDEN inside The Forum. When I arrived, I was disappointed to see the door was open with patrons walking in and out of the room. We are seated and I notice the menu has drinks listed but a $35 (the charged $37) ‘Mixologists Last Stand’ which was the drink they custom make for you. My wife ordered that and I ordered an old fashioned. The WAITRESS said, what do you like, not the bartender. 45 minutes later they bring our drinks and they were awful, nothing I couldn’t get elsewhere for half the price. We waited so long the waitress (who was very good) offered us a free next round, which was just as bad as the first. My wife hated her $35 custom drink and it was nothing like what she asked for. The vibe of this place is not intimate, but loud and filled with cigar smoke. I read that management recently made the change…well they need to change it back because there is nothing unique or special about this experience and I will never return to this place.

     I had previously been to the midnight room last year and had a great experience. I returned last night and it was a completely different experience. at 8 PM on a Saturday night, it was pretty much empty. there was a musty smell in the entire area, which made the experience intolerable. The drinks also were terrible. I ordered an espresso martini and basically got a glass of vodka. between the smell and the drinks, we only stayed 20 minutes.  the only positive thing was that the wait staff was very nice.

    I rated the food good because it wouldn't let me complete the review without a rating. However, I did not order food. The speakeasy was nice. I do wish that the door would've been closed, it didn't seem so "private." The drinks were really good, definitely try the Sidecar and the Negroni (ck sp). Rachel was a great server. Will visit again in the near future.

    The ownership changed spot has more of a lounge vibe now with bottle service and a different drink menu. We left pretty quickly because the whole place smelled like cigar smoke and people were smoking inside

    The bartender for the speak easy was very professional and courteous. Everything else was sub-par. I left feeling I could have spent the time and money elsewhere.

    The butter candle was very disappointing and not at all served in an anticipated fashion given the viral online version. Atmosphere and service were good.

    I made a reservation on open table at 6pm Sunday. My date and I got there and it was closed. The hours stated the place closed at 7pm Sunday on the door. If you are not open, please close open table availability and have a notification for your guests. Very unprofessional.

    I intentionally came back here based on a great experience I had April 5. This go round was nothing like the last and I was highly disappointed. The draw for the “experience” was the experience! No menus, and drinks made in a whim based on your mood or taste profile. Now: it’s a new menu with items that taste like they came out of the frozen food section. Wing were gamey and not crisp. Fries were cold and in seasoned and the service sub par. If I wanted a poor restaurant experience I could have went anywhere in Atlanta. I was embarrassed as I brought a guest and we didn’t enjoy ourselves. The server explained the change in experience was due to management and that is so unfortunate. Needless to say I won’t be back. A waste of money and time.

    We reserved a table at the Midnight room and they said they didn’t have the staff for us to be there. Then don’t put reservations? When I went awhile ago the bartenders were so great making custom orders, but it was not the same experience
