The Forresters Arms Kilburn is a traditional pub with dining and rooms. Located in the picture-perfect village of Kilburn, at the foot of the white horse, and open 7 days a week.
At lunchtimes, we offer a full menu of pub classics, grills, and seasonal specials as well as sandwiches. For dinner, the full menu is available complemented by Chef's seasonal dishes using only the finest local ingredients.

Change in booking treated promptly and efficiently. Warm greeting upon arrival and given a choice of sitting in the bar area or taking a table in the quiet dining room. Choosing the dining room, the seating could have been a little more comfortable. We went for a Seafood Platter between three of us. There was a lovely selection of seafood and plenty for everyone. Good selection of beers. Service was fine and food quality good. A good meal in a nice venue

I’m writing this review, in part because I nearly cancelled the reservation based on some recent bad reviews. Glad we didn’t cancel. The setting is great, service attentive - with local staff, and the food was excellent. The chef came out to speak to a table of regulars and explained the specials, which were both great. Recommend.

Service was very very slow. We had a table booked for 1700 and the pub wasn’t that busy when we arrived. From ordering the main course, the service was very slow for it then to be delivered, I’d guess around 20 mins. We then had to wait for the dessert menu to be given and we waited another 15/20 mins before leaving, due to no one coming back to us. When I paid and declined the ‘discretionary 10% service charge,’ the waitress said, ‘ I don’t blame you!’ Which I thought was very odd. So disappointing as we’d been recommended this place.

Very nice place. Excellent choice of food light food aswell as meals. Top quality. Excellent friendly service. Only not got five stars because a little slow in arriving after ordering and I thought 10% added automatically to the bill was rather steep for the tip.

Great meal. Burgers were fantastic, as was the fish & chip. Pizza was huge and really tasty as well Highly recommended

Food quality shocking, and the level of service very poor, it's clear there must have been a staff change or owner/ manger ect . Could only give 1 star for service as no option for a 0 We have been many times and everything was always perfect , when we came on Friday 16th August it was so bad and the staff are clearly not bothered. We travel 1hr 30 minutes to come here and will definitely not be back.

This was our second night in a row dining as we were staying locally and enjoyed our first nights meal although we had booked for 8.30pm but were told on arriving that the kitchen was closing and we needed to order quickly, that maybe needs changing online if you don’t want late diners as we did feel a bit rushed. Staff sat in the bar with people who had come to pick them up waiting to go. However we came back the next night much earlier (6.15) and were sat next to a family with young children in a fairly empty restaurant. Seemed odd to put a couple with no children right next to a family table with young children. Food was great, quick service and nice staff. Realised next day we were over charged by a few pounds, it wasn’t particularly big deal but when you add on the 10% service charge it made a quick tea of burger and chips and pie and mash at a local pub without alcohol a £75 outing. I appreciate that rural local pubs must struggle with the cost of living rises and I am happy to pay the charges to help the community where i am holidaying, the only thing I’d say is next time I’d probably only eat there one night instead of two as £160 for the two nights is more than a weekly shop.
