The Forest Hotel is a boutique hotel and bar with 12 luxury bedrooms and an award-winning Gastro-Pub restaurant, located in the heart of Dorridge, directly opposite the train station. An 1870's coach house turned boutique hotel, The Forest Hotel bridges traditional with contemporary. Our cosy fine dining restaurant offers a wide selection of meals - ranging from our Pub Classics and Famous Chicken Wings to our award winning Sunday Roasts and our delightful Lunch menu, which changes weekly.

                      We booked early on a Friday evening. The place was rammed, and noisy. The staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. Our table was ready, and we were offered drinks almost at once. The noise level was difficult for my elderly mother, and in future, we would book earlier in the week, or come at lunch time. We all thought the food excellent. Don't bother with the french fries, ask for proper chips, which were great. The main courses all got appreciative comments from the five of us at our table - lamb shank falling off the bone, chicken delicious, pork belly came with wonderful spiced lentils. I chose the wrong dessert, misunderstanding that Affrogato is a tiny scoop of ice cream and you are meant to pour hot espresso over it plus a liqueur, so you get cool sweet liqueur-y coffee. My mistake, I'll try the cheeseboard next time.

                      We have had Sunday lunch at the Forest many times and always thoroughly enjoyed it. Today was no different, the food was beautiful cooked. - however, the portion was definitely smaller than usual. And, it was disappointing to be told the salted caramel wings have been discontinued. This is one of our main reasons for coming to The Forest so often. We do enjoy many dishes from your menu, BUT, the salted caramel wings are what we crave and we never miss an opportunity to order some when we book a table. It would definitely reduce our likelihood of booking again in the future. It’s a really shame and I feel that others may do the same. Please consider bringing them back on the menu. Many thanks

                      Great Sunday lunch. Good service although it was very busy, being in the overspill restaurant area meant it was a bit noisy though. That said the food was lovely, served hot and with lots of veggies and gravy. Maybe don’t charge £1 for an extra Yorkie though and £4 for extra gravy is a little excessive too.
