A classic British Afternoon Tea, available Monday to Sunday, 2:30pm - 3:45 pm. Please note that card details are required to secure your booking but will not be charged apart from in the event of no-shows in which case we reserve the right to charge £10 per person. Payment will be taken for your afternoon tea when you visit us. Please make us aware of any dietary requirements at least 48 hours prior to your afternoon tea bookings. Optional prosecco upgrades can be booked during the reservation process.

Absolutely fantastic experience in terms of food, service and atmosphere. Must visit in Oxford and definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve visited in the UK. Highly recommend!

Very nice place. Amazing food, tried both vegetarian main courses and they were fantastic! Definitely recommend.

We had afternoon tea, great customer service however we waited 30mins for the actual food - the scones were LOVELY, sandwiches were average and the desserts were dry :( the brownie was really nice however! I liked the views and interior was really pretty.

Great location by the river, beautiful decor and a great vibe. Food was delicious and well presented along with varied wine list. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely visit again

Nice location by the river. Not as fancy as the prices would have it, but the food was very good. Eat outside if you are there early in the evening, but it got chilly after a while.

We arrived a bit early for our booking but were promptly accommodated. We even asked to move our table from outdoor to indoor dining when the weather turned gloomy with no issues. The outdoor patio is next to a boat dock with river cruise bookings so not very private. The indoors is bright, open, and much warmer but not intimate if that’s what you’re after. The food choices were varied but nothing that unusual. As in most parts of the UK attentive to food allergies. We felt as if the starters and mains were somewhat overpriced for the culinary experience but obviously that’s our opinion. Overall, a mix between casual and fine dining, excellent service, but not a place I would frequent.

Food at the Folly never disappoints. The menu is varied and exciting. Staff are attentive and knowledgeable and the setting is beautiful in all seasons.
