Dinner with my dad for his birthday great sport. Service was great too not the first time here our waitress was a lovely young Brazilian woman who I met the last time I was at the flying duck too. She’s great had a lovely conversation with her before leaving and sad to hear she’s will no longer be working here as she’s such a ray of sunshine best of luck to her in her future and will definitely be back to try some more delicious food at the flying duck

The Flying Duck is a beautiful space overlooking Dundrum Town Centre.. lovely plush seats.. high airy ceilings.. air conditioning .. choice of tables.. lovely buzz but reasonably quiet. Service was friendly and efficient… nothing was too much trouble. Food was tasty and served quickly. We were offered an a la carte menu with a clever twist … dishes that bore a tiny shamrock icon could be claimed from the Taste of Ireland menu ie 2 courses for €19 or 3 courses for €30. I had a delicious mocktail before my starter of ham and duck terrine. My friend had 2 starters which were equally delicious.. pea and ham soup and a duck and watermelon salad. All very reasonably priced. My only gripe? Bring back the arancini! We’ll be back! 5 stars all round.

Beautiful restaurant with lovely views of Dundrum. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There was live music which added to the atmosphere. Perfect for a date night or family event. The food was lovely and offered a great variety of choice

This restaurant in Dundrum SC is a real hidden treasure …situated at the back of Harvey Nichols and upstairs so you have a panoramic view of Pembroke area. The room is beautifully furnished. Nice hearing. Very quiet. Immaculate toilets. Lovely tasty menu. Good value. 2 courses €19. We had a starter and a dessert each. My friend’s chowder was thick, creamy and laden with seafood. My prawns pil pil were delicious. The desserts were to die for and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be back. 5 stars for ambience and style.

On arrival the venue was impressive. Although the live singer was good, he was extremely load, and the poor couple sitting next to him couldn't have any sort of conversation. The servers were very pleasant and welcoming, however the food was pretty awful, especially for the prices being charged. Firstly to prawns were tasteless and sitting in a pool of greasy water. The steak (striploin) was rubber and over cooked, with a handful of chips, and the pepper sauce was watery and oily (unlike any pepper sauce I've had). For a €34 steak I would've expected a nicer one with all the trimmings but it was very bland, and given the lack of chips/veg etc, I had it finished in a couple of minutes. Overall experience was poor. Was happy to tip the server as she was lovely, but won't return unfortunately.
