Welcome to the Fleece Inn, Bretforton.
The Fleece Inn is the perfect rural retreat, the quintessential English country pub. Just a stone's throw from the beautiful Cotswolds and boasting roaring open fires for the winter months, open garden and apple orchard for the summer sun and a friendly welcome all year round.
With real ales and ciders aplenty this historical pub is a favourite with Real Ale lovers, and the welcoming atmosphere and good food attract visitors from all over the world.
Seasonal and local ingredients are prized, including our famous Asparagus menu in Spring.

Reservable tables are in the pub (standard) or undercover in our orchard (outdoor). There are lots of orchard picnic tables that are not reserved in advance, available for eating and drinking in the sunshine! Dogs are welcome throughout the pub & orchard.

Lovely rustic pub, lovely food, dog & horse friendly! Lots of vegan & vegetarian options too.

Excellent food, including gf Yorkshire puddings, which I certainly wasn’t expecting when I ordered a gf Sunday roast. Reasonably priced wine, lovely service in a beautiful setting. So much to like here 😁

Food Ok - not wow. Roast was only just warm and roast potatoes were soft not crisp. Service was clumsy. Bar staff a bit curt. Waitresses barked at us and then disappeared for long periods. Service was perfunctory - not terrible just not engaged. Overall it was just ok - with training, motivation, and some guidance to the kitchen, it could be good to very good. I tipped because I always do but I was as unenthusiastic about that as they were about serving us.

The Fleece is excellent. The food was so tasty. Staff were attentive. Beer is the best around. The open fire on a cold wet day was perfect.

Fantastic Sunday Lunch and very attentive and friendly service. Just wish the open fire in our part of the pub was a bit more "roaring" as it had pretty much gone out. We will be back!

Sunday Lamb lunch on the Apple & Ale weekend not the best experience for new customers. Service mixed, drinks arrived at the table after the meal served, wrong drink & extra mint sauce didn’t materialize. Roasted leg of lamb was grisly fatty & lukewarm. Deserts were delicious Not the only people who complained

Lovely Pub with lots of character. I am a coeliac and I cannot fault the gentleman who served us he went out of his way to ensure I got gluten free drinks and food. He assisted my wife who is disabled to find the disabled toilet as well. A really great experience I can highly recommend. It is also a National Trust property and has various events, we had a beer and cider festival with Morris dancing, on throughout the year so check out the National Trust web site for information.
