Food was absolutely outstanding. Had the Lobster which was POA , which was a good price. The wine menu had several options including some champagne's which is nice to see. The seating is a slightly more canteen feel than a restaurant but that gives it the charm. All the staff were terrific and friendly apart from one who needed a little more finesse with her delivery of things. We asked for, and god a beautiful window seat, which with the weather being so nice gave beautiful views out to sea. Overall, highly recommend!

We always enjoy visiting here. I did request, if possible a window seat but wasn’t given one. Staff very nice and friendly. Husband had haddock and chips and said it was delicious. I ordered scampi (which for the cost was poor value). M and S scampi is far superior and £8 per box.

Excellent food as always with lovely views across the sea. Staff all attentive without adding any pressure. Thank you for a lovely experience

The freshest tastiest oysters in Whitby. Superb quality ingredients in their dishes with excellent specials. They display the sources of all their seafood. Staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has great views of the sea and pier. We've been coming here, every year for over 10 years. Our visits wouldn't be the same without a trip to The Fisherman's Wife!

Delicious food but waitress let this down. Noone asked if i had any allergies. Your menu doesnt say if things have dairy in. I asked if mackeral was cooked in butter, waitess didnt know and just stood there until i said can you check please. I then had to repeat it x2 what i wanted to know. Any butter or dairy. Luckily the food was delicious.
