Whilst the service was very lovely, and we had a fantastic table I do have some feedback. We ordered a rare tomahawk that came out medium to well done. This was quite disappointing as we were celebrating my partners 50th birthday, we also ordered a side roasted potatoes which never arrived. However we were given mash potatoes and told they were complimentary. The mash was the absolute star of the show they were incredible. We also had to ask for steak knives after our steak arrived. We didn’t want to cause a fuss and just ate the steak and didn’t send it back as it was still edible just not what we wanted. Entree mozzarella was delicious and beautifully presented, bread homemade and served warm, the butter came out cold and hard and would t spread. The dessert pineapple was a treat.

Food was overpriced, seafood not fresh, pasta overcooked, meat overcooked and all meals lacked taste and overcooked. Very disappointed, we hoped this was going to be a special meal on our holiday and very disappointed.

The degustation dinner on New Years Eve was well attended. We were given a welcome glass of Champagne on arrival. It was a lovely evening so everyone congregated outside in the courtyard. The French girl server was topping up everyone’s drinks but alas I think someone had thrown the Harry Potter Cloak of Invisibility over the 4 of us at our high top table. Canapés were served by another man who could obviously see under the Cloak since he was very attentive to everyone and did a great job. In turn each group was asked to make their way inside and were seated but sadly the Cloak prevented them from seeing us so we just made our way in and were last to be seated. The wine pairing was pleasant but not exceptional. The French server did a splendid job of topping up everyone’s drinks and chatting to all of the guests but sadly she was still unable to see us. I did eventually manage to catch the eye of another staff member and politely asked that he should remove this damned Cloak of Invisibility and get rid of it for us. Our assigned server D then made himself known to us and the service factor went from Zero to Hero immediately. All of the courses were very good, correctly portioned and well presented. Over all, our evening did not start well but it was rectified after a chat and we had a great evening.

Service and food was good but a little slow between entree and mains. Wait staff were knowledgeable and friendly, menu could be a little more expansive to include more wood fired options.

Ambience is lifted by having an open kitchen and watching chefs prepare your meal in front of you. Fresh food, your tastebuds are taken on a journey like no other. Paired with an outstanding wine selection & you've got a winning combination. Don't miss Christmas next year, book early. You won't regret it. I also need to mention the staff. They give up their day to look after you. Thank you to everyone for making our Christmas lunch very memorable 😊🥂

All seven of us had the most amazing night at The Fireplace. The service was special with particular attention to replenishing our water and beverages throughout the night. The food, OMG..everyones meal was superb, seared scallops, soup, steak cooked how desired. Desserts, yum yum, perfecto.The Fireplace is my new favourite dining destination, 👍
