Sergio was a fantastic server, and the food was delicious. He was very attentive without being intrusive and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp and the Spinach Dip. Both were great, but the shrimp was exceptionally good. For brunch, we went with the Full Federal Breakfast and the Chicken and Waffles. I only tried the latter. The chicken was sooooo flavorful and the waffle was crispy and fluffy at the same time. Wonderful!!! Overall great and will definitely return again.

I always have a fantastic time at Federal Grill! Everyone in our party remarked how good the food was! Juan was extremely attentive and he had the absolute best attitude! He enhanced our experience even further and made sure everyone was taken care of! The location and the ambiance is amazing! Of course I will be back!!

A few friends and I met for dinner. We hadn’t gotten to see each other in quite some time. Juan made our evening so pleasant. He was very attentive and patient with us as we kept visiting and talking rather than deciding on what we wanted to order. He made great recommendations. We loved all his suggestions- the cheeseburger eggrolls and bang bang shrimp were so good!! The wedge salad was enough for four of us to share. We decided to split two meals and again that was more than enough food! The fillet was delicious!! I didn’t realize it came with a side of macaroni and spinach, both of which were to die for!!! I didn’t taste the meatloaf the others got, but they said it was the best!!

Lunch was way too long. I had a reservation at noon. Did not leave until 1:30. Not acceptable for a business lunch. Second time it’s happened. The goal needs to be 45 minutes. Probably took our table of 4 30 minutes to get our food.

This was my second time dining here and it did not disappoint. Every dish was amazing and the service was spot on. I’ll eat here again on my next visit to Houston.

The appetizers were good, but the entrees were bland. Our orders came out wrong and flavorless the first time. When we realized that we were served some grilled fish instead of the pecan crusted snapper we ordered, we told the manager. They did apologize and brought out the correct food. Every single thing was still very bland and the broccolini was too hard to even cut with a knife or chew. We left wishing we had gone to Papas across the street. After we paid the ticket, I realized that either we were over charged or misquoted on what the market price was for the snapper. The server quoted us $34. We were charged $44 for each. When I brought this up to the server, he changed the story....of course. We won't be back...EVER.

The food was excellent, but the service was absolutely terrible. We had a 5:30 reservation on a Sat. We were promptly seated, but sat at the table for at least 15 minutes until I got up to find a waiter. The one I spoke with said he would come over and take our order. He apologized and said they were extremely busy. Too me that didn’t seem to be the case. While busy, there were a lot of empty tables. Once the orders were in, the service was still slow, but better. Generally, an under attentive staff throughout the evening which is the responsibility of the management. As for the food, it was excellent. We ordered off the Houston Restaurants menu (3 course). My Bang Bang shrimp was great. As well as the braised beef rib over cheesy risotto and spinach. Bread pudding was decent, but not the best I have ever had. I might try them once more to see if the service was an isolated incident.

This was my first visit to this restaurant and let me say we had the best experience. Our waiter Juan was amazing, our food was amazing! 10/10 I definitely recommend. We ordered the bang bang shrimp, the crab cake, the truffle stuffed chicken and the chicken fried chicken and it was all super delicious. The strawberry lemon drops were great as well! I will definitely be back soon!
