The pub was originally built in 1812 but our history is a little more recent. Landlady Andi renovated, redecorated and revitalised the pub and the new and improved Feathers opened its doors on February 15th, 2019.

The pub has gone onto win the Spelthorne in Bloom flower competition 4 times for its bountiful summer bouquets, regularly hosts eclectic live music acts on Friday nights and has served many varieties of delicious homemade food for almost four years.

I booked a table for six people for my wifes birthday about two weeks ahead. Our friends who had eaten there before said it was good. Our table was booked for 8.0 pm and about 4.30 pm on that day a lady from the Feathers called to say our table was available but they did have another birthday party booked for one hundred people and it could be a bit busy and would we like to cancel and rebook for another time. I said it was a bit late to let me know and getting a table for six on a Saturday night would not be easy, i added that they must have known before of this and should have let me know sooner, i said i would speak to the others and call her back. Ten minutes later before i rang back i had a phone call from Max who said he was the boss and would be our server that evening, he told me they did have a big party coming with music but they would be in the garden and use the bar in the pub, he said he didn’t know why the lady had rung me as Saturday was always busy and he had reserved us a spacious table in the corner. I said we would still come. We arrived at 8.0 to a very noisy bar and the whole place was very busy. I spoke to Max who assured me all the party guests would be going in the garden in about thirty minutes when the music was due to start. It was a cold evening and I wasn’t sure if many people would want to stay in the garden and would probably prefer the bar area. Four customers were sitting at a table nearby who told us that they had arrived at 7.0pm it was now 8.15 and they were still waiting for their order to arrive. We decided to leave, had we stayed I don’t think we would have heard each other speak. I am sure the party had been booked some time before and had I been told earlier I would have cancelled

Walked in pub a mess low on alcohol a got told they didn’t know where the chef was a wasn’t ready for opening in the afternoon.

Came along with my husband an 2 very good friends of ours,had a lovely evening food was lovely and our waiter Tony is a credit to your restaurant extremely polite and helped us with everything we needed,second time we have been an would definitely come back again *****

A fabulous evening in the Feathers. Had a Sunday roast and food was delicious - then a happy accident finding out there was Live Music and Open Mic night. All the staff were amazing, and doing a cracking job bringing a new lease of life to the Pub and area

Staff were very nice and polite. Food was excellent quality and very good value for money. Would definitely come back again if we are ever back in the area.

Great little find. Nice intimate place to eat. Service amazing, no long wait to get a drink, felt looked after.

We had a very good Sunday roast at The Feathers. Great quality food and generous portions. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back and highly recommend that you try it.
