With our Head Chef, you'll find delicious, classic British and international cuisine, with daily specials chosen from fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Staff friendly and quite good at checking on. our needs. Felt a little rushed to move to the bar at 8:30 pm(we had a 7:00 pm booking) however the next seating arrived early so we were asked politely to move to the bar. Food was good, my wife’s truffle mac and cheese was tasty but light on the truffle. I had the Tomahawk pork which was a good size and flavourful. No complaints there. Price was reasonable drinks and dinner came to £184 for the four of us. No hesitation in booking again in the future

My wife and a daughter enjoyed a fine dinner, whilst on holibobs. Food and drink was great, and the service was helpful and friendly. A great evening out was had by all.

Very good food. My wife had the cottage pie and said it was the best she had ever tasted. If we go to York again we would have no hesitation in going there again

Great food. Large portions. The Haddock was very good. Burger and beer on Mondays is a good deal. We did book ahead and advised them that we had a birthday celebration but the staff didn’t acknowledge anything.
